    My tips pretty straight forward. I Hated my life and wanted to change more than anything else. Relapses will happen, but the more you learn from each one then the quicker you can be out of this addiction.

    Im definitely not there yet in terms of my recovery, but 1 year is a good start.

    Thanks for your support, looking forward to seeing you at 1 year too :D:D

  6. " Social media is conditioning....." @Caleb 2020 .This "awakening" business just makes me feel sick all the time. I wonder, how did we remain asleep for so long? Social media, porn e.t.c, it's all conditioning.

    Day 5 of 365. 360 days are remaining. So far so good. You must get your a** in the gear and ( single folks like me ) overcome this addiction, and find a real partner who satisfies you and if you can't the blame is on you ( me again ) not on masturbation cause you let it take over your life.

    Absolutely fantastic!
    In running history,no-one thought running under 4 minutes for the mile was possible.However,after Dr. Roger Bannister broke 4 minutes for this distance, other athletes started to run under 4 minutes.
    Belief is a powerful weapon,so thank you and well done for accomplishing this challenge!! @Ezpz :emoji_trophy::emoji_medal:

    fourth day without pmo. I am doing a list updating every day about why I don't want pmo:
    day 1) I want to recover passion in my life, in my work, in evertything I do;
    day 2) I want harmony with other people, friends, family, colleagues;
    day 3) I want to listen to my emotions, difficulties are part of life;
    day 4) I want to respect myself, I want others respect me. It is an important step don't feel flattened. I want recover self esteem

  11. What continues to amaze me is how far back this goes, the preoccupation with sex and sex imagery. I am not even talking about behavior other than the way I think. I have acted out with porn and masturbation, but not with actual partners. I am technically a faithful husband, just not in my mind! OVer the past year or so I have found some writing that explores the relationship between sexuality and spirituality, mortality, and creativity and suddenly I feel less crazy. There's always been the sexuality and this other preoccupation with what it might represent (other than the obvious). I have noticed that during longer nofap periods, my thinking calms down, I become kinder in general, see women differently, I feel freer, and more hopeful in all things. I am aware as we all are that this is like a drug, and when I get away from it, my vision clears. I am always trying to deal with it as it is, but also place it into a broader, more meaningful context. Does this resonate with anyone?

  12. Thanks Puretim. Sometimes (not always) I find someone's thought here that is what I needed! Somehow, putting this all in a broader context helps me a lot. It's always about sex, and it's always about more than sex!

    I've been having emotional pain recently as well. I don't know if it has anything to do with porn recovery or not... it always seems to be tied to recent events. It helps me to just sit with it, to focus my full awareness on the pain, with an attitude of interest or curiosity. The next thing I know, it has dissipated.
