Activities helpful for recovering from porn

  1. Stress relief strategies are key for a porn addict. There are various ways to recover from porn and passing time. These activities listed here release less dopamine and helpful for passing time.

    1. Exercising and playing sports.
    2. Praying or attending a religious service.
    3. Listening to music.
    4. Spending time with friends and family.
    5. Going outside for a walk.
    6. Doing meditation or yoga.
    7. Spending time with a creative hobby.
    8. Reading.
    9. Getting massage.

    These activities boost mood-enhancing brain chemicals like serotonin and GABA, as well as the feel-good hormone oxytocin. So they work very well for stress.

    There are activities which release more dopamine and are least effective .

    1. Gambling
    2. Shopping
    3. Smoking
    4. Eating
    5. Drinking
    6. Playing video games
    7. Surfing the internet
    7. Watching tv or movies for more than 2 hours.

    These activities boost dopamine by relying on promise to rewards. They can be harmful in porn recovery.

    If you’re feeling stressed and about to reach for the promise of relief, consider trying a more effective stress reliever.
