I'm a type 1 diabetic and I can tell you that you are misunderstanding how this works.

Carbohydrates are what cause blood sugar spikes after eating. Pushing the body by eating a lot of carbs causes these spikes to be higher and longer, which can lead to insulin resistance and diabetes. All fat does is slow digestion, leading to a slower and potentially less severe spike. As eating no carbs can lead to the body using protein and turning it into glucose, a better diet for a diabetic would be low-moderate carbs, high healthy fat, with a lot of meat, fish, and dairy. Encouraging diabetics to eat a lot of carbs, unless those carbs have a low glycemic index, is reckless.

Please elaborate I guess my levels of sarcasm are not good enough to understand this nonsense.

You know ovens exist right? Yes, I oven cook my hashbrown, shocker.

Yeah, and there is also a reason why diabetes and obesity had skyrocketed since the guidelines on the food piramid where introduced since the same decades, hmmmm

Listen son, you would even argue about intracellular fat I might even take your argument into consideration, as there is actually some debate regarding that, but what you are saying is simply not true.

It is also an organ that accumulate a shitloads of nutrients, so a well sourced liver is one of the most nutrient dense foods out there, also, I don't know many people eating tuna livers, or any big fish liver for that regard, mostly land animal livers, that don't have that issue with mercury.

As a famous vegan once said, listen mate, if you knew the science, perhaps I would listen to what you say lmao.

  4. With all due respect, I’m not misunderstanding anything. Since you are diabetic, spend some time going through the stuff on that website I linked. The owner of that website eats nothing but fruit all day with very little fat, for many many years now. Which has allowed him to lower his use of insulin. Carbohydrates are to be taken into cells and out of the blood stream via insulin. When there’s fat in the blood, this process is hindered, and blood sugar spikes. If you aren’t willing to learn, don’t bother replying. There is plenty of evidence and testimony on the website linked, yet you’ve showcased you have no desire to investigate it. Instead you prefer to rely on what you’ve been indoctrinated. You have diabetes I don’t, so it’s really your concern not mine. I’ve eaten high carb diet for 7 years now and haven’t developed any form of insulin resistance whatsoever. I never will. Because I keep my fats low.

  5. No, your understanding of human physiology is not good enough. What is the brains number 1 and preferred source of fuel?
Right... must be because people stopped eating red meat.
I guess you don’t know that when you eat food, it travels through tiny blood vessels in the intestines until it reaches the hepatic portal vein, and heads to the liver? Which is then filtered to the best of your degenerate lovers ability(based on how much fat you clog it with) and then sent to the heart, and then rest of body? In other words, the fat you consume ends up in your blood stream. Who would’ve thought. Schooling seems to be failing you.
right.... and how bioavailable are those “nutrients.” Lmfao. You really think that non-bioavailable nutrients justify consuming poison. Ahh, showing your ignorance again. I brought up tuna so that you understand why bigger animals accumulate more toxins (common sense). The mercury is actually in the fat of the tuna, if people ate the liver they’d probably end up in the hospital. Point is, when you eat a big ass cows liver, you’re eating toxic bioaccumulation. You better hope they’re grass fed and grass finished and antibiotic free, at the very least.

    Taken from Diabetes.co.uk,

"However, low fat diets have come under a certain amount of criticism in that low fats diets often require a relatively high amount of carbohydrate in the diet which can lead to overproduction of insulin and could therefore lead to increased hunger through the day, weight gain and increased health problems."

I wear a CGM on my arm. When I eat a fatty meal, it slows digestion and lowers the initial peak of the carbs in that meal. I can prove this factually by looking at the data. I'm more inclined to trust that than some fad diet book.

Oh hold on, cause the source I linked disagrees with you, it makes me indoctrinated right? Is that how this works? Anything anyone else says is stupid and your word is gospel? Lmfao miss me with that.

Well it prioritize ketones over glucose if want me to answer glucose hahahaha although I may give to you that in cannot fully function just on ketones, but then again, the body maintain a homeostatic level of glucose from fats even if there is no glucose present so...

I don't remember saying that fats don't end up in the bloodstream, I remember denying your affirmation that is the presence of fats what doesn't allow glucose intake into the cells.

Lmao, are you really going to bring bioavailability into this? how bioavailable are the minerals in the veggies sir? hahahahaha seriously....

And yes, fat can encapsulate lots of shit, granted, and yes, the better option, the how it used to be, option, and sadly is no more, is grass fed and grass finished antibiotic free, blame the issue on the current industry and not into the product itself.

  10. That's great. Is it going to fix your diabetes and lower your need for insulin in the long run? You seem to miss the point. I cited people who actually reverse type 2 diabetes, completely, and lower the use of insulin for type 1 diabetics, among other things. Do you think if someone eats a diet with no carbs that their diabetes will be cured? No. Maybe they wont have dramatic spikes or whatever, but they've done nothing to address the actual problem. Over time when you stop combining fat and carbohydrates, insulin sensitivity increases. Because its no longer being blocked by fat in the blood. There is plenty of science behind this man, you're welcome to look it up. But again, you aren't willing to do so despite the fact that you have this very problem. Hence, why I consider you indoctrinated. You rely on diabetes.uk, which has done nothing to REVERSE diabetes and insulin resistance. They help you manage the problem, so you consider them reliable. They don't fix you. I happen to be the type of person that's into solutions, not band-aids and crutches.

Again, stop coming at me like I give a fuck. You are the one with this problem.

  11. You have officially

defied all logic.. I should end this debate here and now because of this statement you've made.
Well since you know that fat doesn't do that, can you explain to me what does stop the insulin from up taking glucose?

  12. AtomicTango

My insulin resistance is low, my blood sugar averages are barely in a prediabetic range, and I have better control than 90% of diabetics according to every professional I've ever spoken to (in clinical range 95% of the time.) I accomplish this with a moderate carb diet with healthy fats, proteins, and dairy. You seem to almost be agreeing with me with some of what you have said, so honestly who knows what point you are even trying to make anymore. What I do know is that type 1 cant be reversed like type 1 can, only managed.

The problem you have my friend is a nasty case of head-up-arse. Symptoms include unearned feelings of superiority over others, aggression towards naysayers, and verbal diarrhoea. The cure is a healthy dose of coping and an equal dose of seething.

I have been objective. But right from the off you are arguing in bad faith by insulting everyone else. Why should I be objective when you wont be?

  18. I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me what "essential nutrients" come from dead bodies, or secretions from animals. Anyone? @FirefromAbove please find someone to answer this for me.

  19. Right off the bat, I made an objective assertion about consuming animal products, and was quoted with "absolute nonsense." That set the tone for the debate right there. You are clinging to people who agree with your views of the world, while disregarding contributions from other people that have made this argument what it is.
