I've been doing that work out since I was 12 years old too. lol

I believe you and I know very little about the subject despite the fact I've worked out most of my life. Come to think about it I got my routine off of the paper charts that used to come with York barbells. haha

Always think of your muscle groups in opposing pairs, and work them out the same day. Chest & Back. Shoulders are a thing unto themselves, because there's three parts of a deltoid (military press works anterior delts, rows in certain positions work posterior delts, medial delts are worked by various iterations of the lateral raise) Biceps & Triceps, Quads & Hamstrings, abs and back (do obliques, too, and just hammer the whole core). Ever see meatheads with their alms always partially flexed? That's because they work out for those massive biceps, and neglect their triceps. The strength disparity becomes so great that their triceps don't counteract the biceps at rest, so the biceps are basically always winning a little bit of tug of war, and their elbows bend a bit.

Hey, I started on June 26 - set the counter to 1 at 6pm June 27. Day 40 tomorrow. Current goal is 45. When I hit it, I'll kick it up to 60.

That all makes sense now thanks. My primary goal with weights was just to burn off excess energy and for that it's worked brilliantly. I hadn't actually even thought of it from a looks point of view that much.

My genetics are short and stocky and I don't know how much can be done about that. It's funny you mentioned the biceps because mine do look too big for my body through no intent. I've been lifting very light weights thinking it would get a more chiselled look but I keep bulking without wanting to.

I started at the end of June, over a third done! Extra challenge to do it in the summer for me, with many days alone at home, holiday, warm weather, not so much clothes on ... But I've made it so far.

I checked out bodybuilding just for about two months. But I don't need so much muscle. And I don't like the eating part.
Overmore I only want the musculatur appropiate for the sport I do and for every day life (that's a musculatur which looks natural good ;))

But to them who wants to stay/become fit with moderate muscle build-up: why not build muscles by three-dimensional movements as in climbing, gymnastics or martial arts? Your body will learn more and it's more fun IMO.

I don't like doing push-ups when training martial arts anymore (as it is common in so many Dojo's). Bc I can workout with boxing all the same and it will grow muscle too. Also push-ups won't work in the ring or as self-defence. I'm even afraid it could make my boxing slower. (Also I don't want to pay for a training which I can do at home just as well)
This view is quite new to myself (a friend inspired me). But it makes sense to me.
    What do you think?

Unless you're looking for a specific type of gain, doing regular exercise that incorporates cardiovascular and muscular endurance, and strength, will take care of keeping you fit. So, yes, your approach of three dimensional movements (for anyone confused by exactly what that means, he's talking about activities that have you moving in the X, Y, and Z planes, rather than just two of them) will work just fine to keep you fit, and keep you strong. If you don't have specific strength needs in your job, or life, then this will be great. Of course, to everyone, just be sure you're fit enough for whatever activity you choose.

    thanks Allan!

maybe I should clarify: to prefer 3-dimensional to 2-dimensional (or 1-dimensional) movements in general is "the new idea"
the rest is just how I do it for many years now.
I should add of course all body movements are actually spatial/ 3-dimensional and complex. But when you do push-ups -just up and down- the movement is pretty much the same every time (you could move to the sides as well and thereby challenge your body much more and use more muscles..) But we do it always up 'n down and up 'n down, as if we had to move on a line. That's what I mean.

Just pmo today. But my confidence is still undeterred. But the problem is that i become weak when the urges come. I am currently using K9 protection but whenever the urges, i still search for explicit content on the internet even though i know i will not get anything. sometime i will spent for 1 or 2 hours searching. my mind thinks that rather than searching for hours wasting time and then at the end you still feel that the thirst of your mind for something excited is still not quenched, why don't you just see a video once, reach climax and in all you will spent only 10 or 15 minutes, you save time and your brain is packed with dopamine ready to do whatever you need to do. Of course this is wrong but in those moments it became really difficult to make the right decision.
So i switch off my K9 protection and then after all the bad stuff ends, you realize that you have done a wrong thing. To make matter worse, I had been suffering from depression in the past and now I have lost the spontaneous enjoyment i used to have from my hobbies and i have a made one bad decision in my life which when i think about it think it, it made me sad and the urges to pmo come and plus everyday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm i always alone at home it is at this time that i usually pmo. Though i am recovering from the effects of the depression and i am able to make up for that one bad decision of my life but porn is always on the way. It made me hit rock buttom over and over again. Whenever i felt bored because of the depression or sad because of the decision, urges to pmo always come.
So please give some useful suggestions what should i do when i am in those moments. I have been battling porn for two years and i no longer want to be controlled by it.

    Also, on the fitness topic:
    DON'T EVER DO CROSSFIT!
    1. It's not a movement, it's a company.
    2. Their trainers are consistently untrained, not knowledgeable, and reckless.
    3. Their entire concept of regular people training like elite athletes is utterly unsafe. It takes years of training, designed by educated professionals, to have your body in a state that that kind of training is reasonable.

Hey sp10 just a note on the K9: You say that you switched it off to search and then realized the folly of doing this and then put it back on? I had the same problem for a while there with it too. It was for me because I would disregard the filter and get a temp password and then break down the firewall and go in to porn. Then I decided to confide in someone about it, reset it in their name (so only they can access the password) and now I have absolutely no way of accessing porn on my laptop. Since then I find this has been an effective solution. I hope this helps and keep on keeping on!

Hey everyone hope you are doing well. Hanging out with my big brother. See a lot of you are talking about fitness and the like. What kinds of things do you all do? I run a lot because I run competitively in school, and hit the gym but do a lot of body weight.

Alright, this will bring me past my goal of 30-days without PMO and that's a good thing since I'm thinking a life-time of no PMO is most likely the best way to live life.
