I can relate to the guilt of social media fapping. Can't imagine what another relapse would do to me. I can but don't want to discuss that level of torment.

Discipline is key for living a life you would be happy with in old age. Heck I'm only halfway there and I already can tell when I live with discipline everything gets so much better quickly but when I get lazy it can get hellish overnight.

I started working with seniors recently and can see how miserable some are based on not having lived a discipline life from what I can assume.

Recently saw a couple books about discipline I want to read won't get into them here but I should read them thanks for the reminder.

Bold action to leeave stuff out of sight. Needs to be done sometimes.

But something else that's really helped me (postgrad student) not look stuff up when trying to study is working on doing my studies well. There's loads of advice out there.

Reminding myself of my motivations and reasons for the course. I have a photo of my son above my desk to remind me to work hard for his sake.

Timetabling my week. (my supervisor suggested this). My study time is limited in the evenings; and I've got a physical timetable (not online) to tell me what to work on each evening. Admin on monday, clinical work tuesday, essays wednesday etc.

The timetable builds in family and friend time. Family time is blocked out between 4.00-7.30 each evening, and weekends (though i can work in saturday if needed). Every second thursday evening is men's group.

Using focus mode on windows. I usually set it for 30 minutes and then just aim to work as well as i can. 30 minutes is achievable. Actually depending on how you set it you get a 5 minute break every 25 minutes.

I know we're in different situations so not everything will apply. It simply comes down to this...
The more I've really not wanted to study but then gone ahead and done it, the more pride and joy I've taken in it and the less temptating porn and other images are.
