OK, I'm new here, and just starting. Can anybody tell me whether they got really jittery and anxious when they first began moving in the right direction? I've got really restless legs and I'm struggling to concentrate. I'm not invaded by lots of imagery or fantasising, but I am just really struggling to focus on anything.

    Ideas?

    Thanks!

Can’t speak for everyone but I felt must more normal after 2 or 3 days. Still feel urges to watch porn but don’t feel jittery or anxious at all, I actually feel very, very positive.

I was addicted and watched porn over around 18 years of my Life. It will take a long time to heal from that.
I've quit porn on the beginning of 2019, so its very easy for me to know where i am at.

I have had super strong struggles with hornyness for the first 23 days, with porn popping up all the time in my head and then i MO'ed with light touch and without any porn, pictures or substitutes. Just a little imagination of a former lover, but going slow.

I am at around 45 days without porn now and another 22 days without M/O and have WAY less urges then before.
I still have porn images and clips popping up in my head, and i don't fight it anymore. I let them come and go, try not to concentrate on them and ask myself what kind of emotion i am feeling when they come. It's a form of meditating where you don't become involved with the thoughts, you just let them pass and evaluate how they make you feel and why. If you fight them, it just makes it worse.

The only time i didn't have any porn imagination popping up from old pics or clips is when i was with a girl for 1 day.
That shit just vanishes the second i become involved with a girl i like physically and spiritually. Poof. Porn gone.
And we only kissed and talked a bit.

But i am feeling MUCH better now then i did when i started. Not a little bit, MUCH better.
    Don't let this discourage you.

    A quote from Tyrese Gibson:

"You will go through what you'll go through. It makes no sense to you right now.
But at some point, Life will reveal to you why all of those issues kept popping up and what you were supposed to learn from them"

Do it for yourself my brother is spirit. Fight for your own sexual happiness, independend from wamen.
We are here to help you and make your journey easier, step for step.

yes , same exact thing happened to me in about day 2, lasted about 2 days. take a walk, or if you are into working out, dig into that, also meditation helped me (clears your head, lowers heart rate, reduces stress)

I really wish I could do those but I can't because I damaged my sciatic nerves...

So, I started reading. Reading is all I do all day long everyday.

    ouch on sciatic.

have you ever tried meditating? at beginner level you can get benefit from as little as 5-10mins per day. the free version of the headspace app is a great way to get started.
