Hitler did more privatization than nationalization. The German economy was largely private-owned. "Equality" would be a swearword for a Nazi. I don't know where you draw the line between socialist and capitalist regimes but if 1930s Germany is socialist to you then today's United States must be socialist to you as well.

Fascists didn’t have a solidified economic system the way capitalists or socialists do. Ultranationalism was prioritised over everything else.

National Socialism was an attempted redefinition of socialism to include neither Marxist or Capitalist policies, as both favoured internationalism and cosmopolitanism albeit in different ways. That’s why they’re usually called the Third Position in the 20th Century.

    Yep

No, the name was simply a marketing gimmick. You couldn't win working class support without being "socialist" back then. Now, the early Party of the 1920s did contain leftist anti-capitalist elements but that all disappeared once Hitler took complete control.

Thing is there were actual document saying what they intended to do, like the hunger plan and the generalplan ost. They were prevented from doing that because the soviet war machine stopped them and for all he was evil at least stalin cared about his people since he deported nearly half of the ukrainians population away from the battle front, something no other nation could do whereas hitler was planning to send his nation to the stone age.
But as you said it is indeed possible that the formerly genocidal regime would have calmed down after his death like a certain other anglo-saxon nation who are today the defender of freedom.
What about socialist western europeans nation? Communism is merely the extremist version of socialism, there were plenty of socialist party that could have gained the upper hand in russia but the government wasted all their time repressing the more moderate party and paved the way for militant extremist like the bolsheviks. This is true in all country where communist party came to power, they were murderous and ruthless but so were the regime they had to take down(with help from the bolsheviks), i see here fidel is called a mass murderer as if batista was any sort of angel and it is somewhat hypocritical to call him that since he killed 1/2 millions people while the US launched one of the most unrestricted bombing campaign in korea killing, somehow managing to use more bomb in that small country than during the whole of the 2nd world war killing over 2 millions people for absolutely no reason as they well knew that all military supplies came from outside the country.
The same is happening today in the islamist world with fundamental islamist.
And in term of percentage religion is definitely more murderous as the 30 year wars wiped out 2/3 of germany's population compared to the 2nd world war with a mere 10%.

I was listening to the Front Burner podcast about a month ago and they were talking about Big Telecom's control in Canada. Rogers Communications had an outage and pretty much shut down the whole country. Canada's reliance on one tech company isn't good.

Having said that every country has things I like and things I don't. Personally, I prefer Canada to the US.

I have been to Canada before. It’s alright.

The weather sucks and the people aren’t great. They have that commonwealth “politeness” (inherited from Britain), but Canadian people are somewhat cold and distant. It’s probably because the weather is only good for 2 months out of the year and then it’s back to dreary cold weather again.

The canadian dollar isn’t as strong as the American dollar. So if you plan on vacationing somewhere, your probably going to be pinching pennies.

There’s also a lack of vacation destinations in Canada compared to America. America has a huge variety of vacation/weekend destinations.

If anything Canada’s politics are only marginally better than America’s. Mainly because American politics tend to be anti-worker, pro employer and pro wall street. In my opinion, it only makes sense to move to Canada if it makes financial sense. For example, you need universal healthcare because you will be going bankrupt in the US for profit healthcare system. Otherwise, I don’t think your really gaining much by moving to Canada. America is just a better place to live.

  7. I don't see how anyone can even possibly make such a subjective list without acknowledging that it's completely subjective. It depends on so many factors, one of which being your political views. I have absolutely no interest in living in Canada. It sounds like a horrible place to live, to me, because I care about freedom, and the Canadian government clearly does not. I don't see how any other pros of living in Canada could outweigh the fact that you don't have freedom. I'm not okay with people being forced into certain healthcare decisions or being arrested for not using the pronouns someone wants you to use. That's a disgusting violation of human rights, and nobody should be comfortable giving up those rights. It's a majorly slippery slope.

Trudeau don't care about human rights or whatever. He just want you to not questioning authority. He's one of the many ''Young Leaders'' (They just feed their ego with this title) of the Schwabonis boy. You just have to stay silent and obey, if you contest the government you are a criminal and a stupid, despite in democracy the power is leaded by people, they don't care and want you to belive that the government is the power and the citzens just gave them this power. And Canadians that belive in Cuckdeau, make jokes and insulted the truckers that protested and during cold winter days are accomplices and declared allies of Satan. all the other politicians that will come to replace him and that will have no free will and will be just like him. Trudeau is in there just for obey and take all the eventual shit during is misleading mandate.

Maybe they value their privacy. People think the British are cold and distant but they just value privacy. You don't want to be going on a nice walk only to be disturbed by some stranger wanting to say hello and talk about the weather.

Canada is beautiful, and there are many great aspects about it. The landscapes are breath-taking; the cultures there are intriguing and well-preserved. Quebec City’s one of the most beautiful cities I’ve been to.

But lately, Canada’s political trajectory concerns me. A few months back, the House of Commons passed Bill C-11, which limits any streaming content unless the host goes through a slew of governmental red tape.

As a journalist, freedom of the press and freedom of speech are both freedoms that I cherish, and they need to be protected. But Canada isn’t doing that currently. If they target streamers via C-11, then when will they target journalists? Especially journalists whose desire for truth outweigh any governmental/partisan propaganda points? Even just C-11 can censor journalists, because some stream too! I cannot see myself supporting a country who frolics down that path of censorship and authoritarianism, but I hope that Canada turns itself around from that dangerous one-way road.
