Does anyone feel this way about women?

  1. The irony of this statement is amazing. Thank you. If your intellect was particularly large, I suspect you'd have managed to make a sexist-sounding remark without sounding sexist. But, while trying to not sound sexist, you literally underlined the sexism. Remarkable.

I wouldn't worry, mate. You're unlikely ever to meet a woman who is your intellectual equal. I'm amazed you were able to dictate your post to whatever literate person writes them for you.

Realize I never said I was sexist. But if you really want me to go that route...

Read those and then comment. If you wanna turn this thread into a big "your misogynistic" argument then I'm ready. I've had enough of that.

No. I watched what you define as porn 600 days ago, and what I now define as porn 15 days ago.

Hmm... personally I think people are probably generically boring as long as they remain background to you.

With that mindset, the only interesting people are people who have something directly important impacting upon you, you know, water when you're dying of thirst, a cure for a disease that another suddenly interesting person previously diagnosed you with after you explained your symptoms to them... the key to the door when you're trapped with a crazed killer in the building etc.

One of those interesting things is to fulfil your sexual needs sure, but ultimately everybody should be interesting if you just take the time to genuinely care about what's going on for them.

It's kind of a matter of principle rather than just dismissing everybody for failing to gratify your desire for intellectual stimulation. (What do you want, wikipedia on legs? That's my dream anyway...) You don't really have any responsibility to do that of course. I guess it could be a case of taking people for granted, maybe if you were stranded alone for 10 years or whatever, anybody might suddenly seem 'interesting' to talk to. Maybe not... maybe that's the dream - being free from all the boring people... just how to fulfil your sexual needs then?

More generally, I don't know what 'intelligence' is really and I think it's probably part of just the natural way for most people to gauge an individual that they meet as to how attractive they find them...

p.s. any 'you' in this should be inferred to be 'one' as in, I'm not just trying to get at the original poster, just speculating.

I don't want to get involved in an argument about feminism since your mind is clearly made up and nothing productive will come out of it. I agree that there are bad arguments for feminism and some people who identify as feminists don't truly understand the ideology and simply latch onto parts they like, and that's a bad representation of the ideology. There are also good arguments and solid points. As with anything, there's good and bad.

That being said, the quality of all the links you posted is extremely low. Sources in those articles include blog posts by the same authors, blogs that quote sources which are dead links, and often by the time you get to a peer reviewed study by jumping from what you posted to a blog to a news article to an actual solid source of information, each step has contorted a single fact that was not the main focus of the study to demonstrate something that the study in no way proved. Confirmation bias feels good; you read something that totally resonates with you and you feel validated and intelligent, but it really impacts your ability to make a good argument. Try reading something of quality on the other side of the argument. You'll probably find better a better defense to your views.

  7. I didn't say you were sexist. I said (or rather, strongly implied) that you're an idiot. But you shrewdly refuted that by opening up a debate on whether or not you're misogynistic and sharing some misogynistic articles and forums discussions. I'm completely unclear as to what i was supposed to learn by reading them but I suspect asking wouldn't lead to me being enlightened.

    To note,
If you can't spell, and want to use "intelligence" in an argument, your definitely not making your point.
Also, if you can't tell the difference between whining and complaining... It also doesn't make you look very smart.
If you can't separate simple differences that my 3rd grader had to learn in English, we are all wasting our breath here and this thread should be abandoned.
I also referred to other threads, not just this one and it went over your head like you have the memory of a goldfish.
To point - all within the last two days.
You want to drop the "name calling" but then you youself called someone a name later.
(It's all about context, and you weren't nice.)
    Again.
The reality is you say I'm speaking gibbish and boring, but I have given you a solid argument, of which you refuse to admit.
I've taken every point for point.

This isn't a political thread, nobody cares.

    What who brought up politics?
Classic "nobody cares" bs. If you truly didn't give one flying fuck then you wouldn't even bother to respond.

And "no one cares" about spelling on a internet form. We're typing fast and this is not a spelling bee sweetheart.

  18. Well, I don't feel this way about women.

Sure, I have thought lustfully about some women but I don't think "how do I get to sleep with this girl" every time I see a woman. We're all different but it's inconceivable to me how anyone would think like that.

On how I view women - let me try to answer in an honest - the fact I've looked at porn one could argue that I don't view women as human beings, but for it was curiosity that made me want to look at it not a hatred of women. One reason I'm doing NoFap is that I want to view women as just something to sexually gratify myself with. The fact is women are human beings and should be viewed as such.

On the intelligence of women, I will never say women are below me intellectually. It should be said intelligence comes in different forms. I would say from my experience female hairdressers are far more intelligent than their male counterparts. Someone might say cutting hair is no big deal but almost every time a woman cuts my hair I get what I want, but when a man cuts my hair there's always something they do wrong. Personally, I would always choose a female hairdresser over a man any day. I think women are wired to show great attention to detail when it comes appearance and men aren't.

I also think women are far more intelligent in parenting. Really the majority of men don't know how to take care of a baby but many women do. Personally, I'm scared of newborn babies, yet the majority of women I know have no fear of babies and know exactly how to care for them.

And of course, a woman's intelligence isn't just limited to hairdressing and parenting. There are many women who are just as good as men in many different areas. But really at the end of the day, no one knows everything, there's always someone who knows something you don't know. In some cases that someone will be a man and other cases, it will be a woman.

  19. I think I also never had a very interesting discussion with a woman, but here's the thing:

I at this point do not have lots of good discussions with anyone, but if I do it's mostly guys. Now what do I consider a good discussion?
I like to talk about new technology and ideas, peoples mindsets psychology etc.. I don't care about your videogame and I could give
a shit if your new cellphone has 16GB of RAM, that's not "technical", it's just boring. Despite that I like humorous people, if I find
someone who can laugh and take a "good" joke I'm happy as hell, same goes for intellectual people.
Considering girls, I really like some, but never found one that had either the same humor or is into the same stuff that I am, I never
searched for one though, due to my problems.

If you are really intelligent, let's say your IQ is somewhere over 135, you will really have problems to find a girl that matches your
intelligence, check out "sex difference of IQ distribution". For normal people there is no problem, so you will get a huge backlash on your
post, most people are just not in the situation so they can't comprehend. They will tell you that you are behaving like a child and so forth.

I don't know you so I cannot say if the above is true or not, but I'll say the following: If it is true, I will advise you to be more delicate with
your wording, I don't know what you're trying to achieve with it other than to be provocative, which is not the worst thing but it leads to
    more people missing the point.

A few weeks ago a girl I know told me she was good at writing, I didn't believe her. But then I read her papers and after a few minutes of
telling myself that she's not better than I am I realized that she was. What was my reaction? I had a big smile on my face and kept on reading.
I learned a thing or two from her, I could better myself because shes was better, I think that's awesome. But it's super rare for me. By the
way, I'll have the same reaction if I see an intelligent dude, or someone who really knows his/her stuff. I have a thing for skilled people. But
I'll be honest, I meet more intelligent/skillful guys than girls at uni (at least I think that) and there are 70% females in our classes.
