Hi... New to NoFap.

Hi...
Well Ive decided to take the step and join the NoFap community... Its been a long time coming, but I've heard nothing but good things about this community and I think/hope it will become a valuable tool in breaking my porn addiction.
...... 'my porn addiction'. Ive never really said those three words to myself before. Reading some of the resources here has helped me get a better view of what is going on in my brain and I guess is helping me own the fact that I am addicted and need help.

My NoFap journey is motivated by my religious views (Christian) and just my overall mental/physical health. I feel shame walking into church just after falling into porn the night before. I think that this addiction has played a role in the fact that I'm 20 and never have found a girlfriend. Its most likely helped in lowering my self esteem. These things and many more are motivation for me to get clean. I want to be clean not only for myself but to honor God in my life and to be able to 'practice what i preach' and be able to feel free of the shackles of porn addiction so that I can be more affective in my life.

Again, Hi. Im excited for the journey ahead. I know its going to be difficult and trying, but I'm confident in the community of NoFap, that I hear so much about, will help me stay on track.

I did join it. I plan to use it when temptation comes along and i need a pick me up. Thanks for the welcome
