    Hi all,

I'm completely new here and just posted my first introduction thread.

I'm hoping to engage more and really get involved with this, so thought I'd bring up a topic that's been on my mind since I'd decided to put an end to PM.

I'm curious to know how disciplined you guys are when it comes to your own P/M/O challenge/commitment? Whilst avoiding a porn website is easy enough (in that you have to make a conscious choice to view it), sometimes soft porn is almost thrown right at you. It's unavoidable - whether it be pop ups, TV shows, films, news articles, music videos etc. Heck... it's hard to scroll through Twitter or Facebook without a 'trigger' presenting itself!

To be more specific, do you find yourself enjoying looking at what's presented in front of you as you didn't consciously seek it, do you have a little look and then decide that you should close it/avoid the situation, or do you knee-jerk discipline yourself to immediately look away? - same question if you see a pretty girl walking by. Does anyone handle these situations in a different way? I hope that makes sense. Would love to hear your thoughts and get some support from those with experience doing this.

Thoughts and feelings that come as an instinctual reaction to stimuli are not under our control. The only thing we can control is our relationship to those thoughts, feelings, and stimuli. It's just about being mindful of that response and the stimuli we expose ourself to. I'm definitely more mindful of how music and tv can be unhelpful stimuli and I make a more conscious effort not to expose myself to the problem content.
