Rules
  1. Challenge starts at Day 0. You may not bring your previous streak into the challenge. Score yourself every day, in reference to the chart. Note your progress, here or in your journal, recording what day you are on, how many points you have accumulated, and how many points you need to gain the next level. It may help to note how you scored (or lost!) your points.
  2. You cannot level down. If you level up and then get negative points right away so that you level back down, your rocket explodes into a fireball and it’s game over. After you level up, you need to take the time to accumulate a cushion of points so that if negative points happen, there will be a buffer. After all, rockets can be a bit temperamental.
  3. Points lost is not counted by day, but how many times you commit a P, M, and/or O infraction. Note that you can arrest the process at any time and limit your losses, but bingeing is a sure way to sabotage your progress.
  4. Once you reach 500 points, you may notify @Meshuga through a PM, who will place your name in the Hall of Fame, along with the number of days it took you to reach the 500 point goal. Plus, you earn the right to display :emoji_rocket:in your signature!
  5. You may repeat the challenge as many times as you wish.
  6. The Countdown to Liftoff Challenge, like everything we do here, is limited to self reporting. You can lie to us about your progress if you want. You can even lie to yourself. You can't lie to your body, and you're only cheating yourself.
FAQs
Q: What counts as porn?
A: It's up to you to define it, and a topic that has been widely discussed in other threads. Feel free to peruse those threads and deeply consider it yourself, and be open to tailoring that definition along your journey. You may find your initial assessment has been too strict, or too lax.

Q: What kind of diet?
A: There are too many diets and virtually none are universally appropriate. If you have your own standards and are following them, give yourself the points. Once again, be honest with yourself.

Q: How much exercise? What counts?
A: Same as with diet. For maximum mental health benefits, psychologists claim only 15 minutes of accelerated heart rate per day is necessary. If you would like to hold yourself to a higher standard, you may do so. At the same time, don't be afraid to give yourself a rest day. Protect your body. You only get one.

Q: Can I O if it's real sex?
A: Yes. Once again, you can hold yourself to different standards according to your own goals, and adjust them along your journey. For the purposes of this challenge, though, partner assisted O is permitted.

DISCLAIMER
Completing this challenge does not equate a cured addiction. This challenge is designed to assist users with learning how to abstain, which is a necessary step but not the extent of curing addiction. As you acquire experience and skills in addressing abstention from pornography, masturbation, and orgasm, we strongly encourage you to conceptualize addiction as a maladaptive coping mechanism, to consider what you use PMO to cope with, and to develop a more appropriate strategy for resolving that problem. When you have a healthy way to deal with various life problems, the desire itself to use PMO should reduce.

I don't mean to flex on you guys, by which I mean, I totally do mean to flex on you guys but I want to sound super casual about it, but I scored 3 points my first day and all 7 the second, which means I hit level 2 before all of y'all.
It’s not the quickness of the ignition that matters but the consistent fuel ratio to allow for continuous thrust.

I don’t know what I’m talking about…something like “motion in the ocean” but for space.
