Hello and welcome to the Sexual Orientation OCD / HOCD recovery challenge log!

*Important note:* This is not a place to seek constant reassurance. Seeking it once when you arrive, if the following information I provide below isn't enough, will be allowed. After that, you have to accept it and work to fight against it by not caring what your brain tries to tell you. In emergencies, there is support with the panic button.

With that aside, I am not going to go into a huge analysis of SO OCD. Another post by @JustPassingBy01 does a superior job of doing so. https://forum.nofap.com/index.php?t...fetishes-a-complete-guide-for-freedom.283059/

Instead, I will just be referencing a list of responses to your thoughts that will let you know if you have SO OCD or are the sexuality you have accepted (for me personally I am gay but struggle with thoughts of being straight). If the words used to describe each box don't fit (talking about worrying if you're gay when you're actually gay and worrying that you're straight) then just change the wording to see if it fits in.

    For example:
    1.jpg
In the top right corner, you would replace 'gay' with 'straight' and 'boyfriend' with girlfriend, changing the gender role as needed. Whatever makes it fit your situation. Same with the other squares.

If you get the top response in the following images, you have SO OCD. You can get past it (with help from the guide I linked, this is merely for posting a log twice a week).

    Example one:

How does it make you feel? (Despite the wording of this, a certain event can, indeed, change your sexuality assuming it isn't an anxious one that is unwanted, I certainly wasn't born gay, but something triggered it and I feel like a whole person now where before I was sorta empty):
    2.jpg
How long do/did you ponder this?
    3.jpg
How does the idea of being with the sex you are made anxious by in a romantic way affect you?
    4.jpg
Do you want to be the thing your mind is trying to tell you?
    5.jpg
    Any other OCD behavior?
    6.jpg
Who do you want to be with more in your confusion (again, switch when needed)?
    7.jpg
Do you find attraction in both genders?
    8.jpg

With this aside, you should be clear on it by now.

    Rules for the log:

1: It should not be a form of reassurance, the idea of OCD is to just not give a fuck and let it flow in your mind (just don't think about it LMAO is legitimate advice here)

2: Avoid anything that could be triggering to your fellow OCD sufferers

3: Ranks will be added if this thread has at least 10 consistent members (I myself will be interacting but not updating a log of my own); until then this is entirely for yourself. Just add one of the three tags here:

    Fuck SO OCD

    Fuck HOCD

    HOCD recovery initiative

4: Respect each other and keep religion out of it unless it's for your own benefit (i.e. do not try to tell someone they aren't really gay as to keep them from 'sinning' if they struggle with worrying if they are straight)

    5: Just be honest.
