The Good vs The Ugly

Porn addiction is something that is not to be taken lightly. It has cost us a lot in our lives, career, relationships. Everyday is a fight against yourself. One part of you tells you to keep fighting, while the other insists you to watch it. The good vs the ugly. Experience tells me, the part which insists me to relapse is stronger during the initial weeks. This is when most of my relapses happen. After the initial weeks are over, the urges subside and become infrequent. It almost feels like the part which insists me to relapse had given up, and the good part in me has become stronger. But the moment I begin underestimating the bad part, I give power to it. The more I underestimate, the more powerful it becomes. Eventually, it becomes powerful enough to fight the good part again. The fight goes on and on until the good part in me can't fight no more and supplicates. Relapse! Binge!

Had it not been underestimated, had it been checked early on, a streak would still be there. A momentary lapse of judgement and I am back to my old ways!
