Day 25, padawan.
Day 17! Had a close call yesterday. Cold shower and a meditative ritual of self-love sorted me out.
Unfortunately I relapsed!
Today is Day 0. Starting from beginning.
Yo guys hope everyone is well just checking in today day 4 youngling. Any tips to make logging into nofap a daily habit?
So depressed I ended up relapsing again after 3 hours. I am so depressed.
Rank 0: Youngling @Marcus Aurelius
1 day, youngling
Get up again and kick ass. Don't allow pornactors to fool you with their fake sex lie.
I alwys do that while going to work by public transportation.
Chaser effect bit me and was just 10 hours in. Starting from beginning now.
Day 26, padawan.
Day 0: Here we go again.
No worries. As long as you post once every two weeks, you're good.
I would just pick a certain time of the day when I do it e.g. first thing in the morning, lunch break.
Welcome to the Temple! I like your Yuuzhan Vong avatar.
You can do this, @lonercub. Relapse is a normal part of progression. Think about how relapsing makes you feel about yourself. Be kind to yourself, talk to yourself the way you would a good friend, and focus on what you want to change in your life. Make goals—they can be very small. Write them down on a day planner and promise yourself to stick to them.
Eventually, your streaks will get longer and longer. Remember, if you go for a long streak—say, even 7 or 10 days—before relapsing, you’re essentially PMOing to a “normal” degree. I know you probably want to quit porn altogether, and don’t see any intake as normal, but remember how much better relapsing every couple weeks or so is than doing it every day. Be proud of the progress that you have made. You’re stronger than you know. I believe in you, man.
Question, guys: What do you think of the two week check in rule i.e. after two weeks absence from the Temple, I send a message to see if you're still interested? I only ask because I don't want to be a pest and I was considering extending the rule to three weeks or maybe a month.
The reason for this rule by the way is that the majority of people who sign up for this challenge disappear and, for the opening post to be accurate, I need to know who's in and who's out.
Thoughts? Is two weeks two short or do you think it's a good amount of time?
I would love to join the challenge. So I guess I am at rank 1.
As I am new my opinion may not be important. Just an Idea. I think 2 weeks is good, because otherwise the attendees will not know each other and that would not be good for the motivational mood.
Day 0: 12 hours and 33 minutes.
Day 147, Jedi Master
Two weeks is fine with me. It helps to receive a gentle nudge from time to time.
@Marcus Aurelius I think two weeks is the perfect amount of time.
