19 days today. I became a Hobbit during my time away!
Hey @Zapy97 , the doldrums end, there will be wind in your sails again soon. I think we learn more in the struggle, the heavy days, than we do in any others. Soon the fresh breeze of strong natural endorphins will run in your veins and you will emerge from this chrysalis, no longer needing any artificial stimuli, and you will soar... We're with you all the way!
Happy to be here with the Fellowship. Hit my first real checkpoint in this challenge yesterday and the sense of achievement has me hungry to become a hobbit.
Reaffirming the fact that I am stressed about some bad news so that I recognize it here infront of myself and the Fellowship. It brings me back to the HALTS system of introspection (am I Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired, and/or Stressed). Identifying the issue and not lingering on it makes it so that on is better suited to move beyond it (in my opinion).
Thank you again NoFap Community for your support, encouragement, and willingness to pursue a porn free life. It is truly motivating
Just 3 to go to a century @LuckyMan, bravo, bravo!!!
I'm focused on getting through each day clean from PMO.
But now time has come to quit all sugary foods. I have recently started craving foods that before starting NoFap I rarely consumed.
Day 6, Uruk-Hai...
Day 5. Time to read more and more. Limiting social media from today to not more than 45 mins a day. I've resonated a lot with the tips you have listed @RiseToGreatness and will try and build a path. Earlier, I just had my trigger action plan and habit formation guidelines. I have never tried meditation but I'll start today. Thanks a lot guys for all the support. Without this group, I wouldn't have started the journey.
Day 14 complete! Two full weeks. This would have been unthinkable for me before joining NoFap and finding an incredible, perfect community for helping me fight these demons. Thank you all!
Last night I had another wet dream. Those are usually taken to be a sign of progress, are they not?
Unfortunately I didn't quite make it to 30. Relapsed yesterday on my 29th day. Resetting my counter and getting right back to it to ensure that it doesn't become a binge.
My brain wants me to focus more and more on sex, but I'm managing to control it which feels great. I'm also having dreams about sex, but not about porn like I used to in the past. That makes me think that I'm going in the right direction.
Check in: Day 330
After leaving the Tower I enter Mordor, the Black Land of PMO. The sky is dark and the fires of lust are everywhere. Remembering the words of the Council, I step into the blasted territory.
“There is evil there that does not sleep, and the Great Eye is ever watchful. It is a barren wasteland, riddled with fire and ash and dust, the very air you breathe is a poisonous fume.”
Congrats to you all! It's so inspiring to see you go this far.
St. Agnes of Rome, pray for us!
Day 36, The urges are getting stronger today , and a lot of thoughts of past experiences are coming to my mind but I'm trying to replace them with other ones and focus on other things. I knew this part of the fight could come some day so I'm doing my best trying to don't fall in despair and focus in this day in conquering this day before i do my next step. thanks for all your support and I will keep fighting , come on brothers and sisters its hard but not impossible let's keep doing this. Saint Joseph pray for us ¡¡
yes, if you´re depleting semen in the night sleep, that means you´re not making it in waking state, so that´s good . wet dreams are a way of the body to release sexual tension.
however it creates other problems like depletion of energy and development of urges the next day. so try to do regular physical exercise, it´s great to the body, mind and it helps release sexual tension in a better way
I have to do it!
"YOU SHALL NOT PASS!"...PMO forces.
One more day brave Fellowship . Feeling good

Have a great day my brothers and sisters, love you all!!! Let´s keep the pace slow and steady, in good days and bad days, through joy and pain, one day at a time.
Here´s JK Emezi with profound wisdom.
When I stopped watching porn I needed to find new ways to occupy my time.
One of the things that has been most fulfilling to me has been taking up the practice of Vipassana Meditation. In Vipassana, there are many levels of awareness to navigate. What was huge for me was that meditation wasn’t as simple as assuming a cross legged position and calming your mind. You have to very aware. Many suppressed emotions also came up. And it’s essential that you do not react to the emotion.
That was hard. I wasn’t accustomed to stopping and observing my emotions. Numbing them, ignoring them, avoiding them - that was my forte. But to stop and really observe things? No thank you.
What I’ve learned though is that suppressing your emotions isn’t healthy. It’s harmful, actually.
A study by the American Psychology Association had researchers analyze the recent dreams of participants. They also assessed how often they suppress their thoughts or emotions and measured their sleep quality, depression, anxiety, and stress.
Those who suppress their negative thoughts and emotions regularly experience more anger, anxiety, sadness, and fear-based dreams. They also had difficulty falling asleep, sleep disturbances, and daytime tiredness. In addition, they experienced more depression, anxiety, and stress in real life.
Here’s a quick checklist to feeling and managing your emotions so your health can benefit:
⬜ Remember it’s normal to feel all emotions - positive and negative. Having negative emotions does not make you a bad person. It means you’re human.
⬜ Make sure you’re getting enough sleep and getting quality sleep. I’m a big proponent of taking magnesium, investing in blackout curtains and white noise or a fan.
⬜ Make time for getting things off your mind. I like to journal. Others will draw, make videos or talk with a friend.
⬜ Practice meditation and mindfulness. These actions help you become more aware of your thoughts and emotions.
⬜ Use bad to create good. If you’re feeling angry - use it as fuel to make a positive change. Exercise, clean the house, etc.
⬜ Remember that you’re a human, not a robot. You were designed to feel things and that isn’t a bad thing.
Start becoming more aware of your emotions
Your brother in this struggle,
I haven't checked in here since September 7th, but I am incredibly proud to report that since September 26th, I've been porn free! That makes today Day 60 for me. Dwarf status!
