Weakness leaving the body!...Start of a journey

SoulFlash

Fapstronaut
Hey so I'm back here once more.

So here's my story...I was here about 4 years ago, I was single at the time and I started the journey of nofap, Yes I relapsed a few times but I went a couple of year streak, things were amazing, my confidence was at an all-time high, people treated me differently, i was physically stronger at the gym, leaner etc...I met my soulmate, had a child and now expecting another baby.

I've gone back to the dark side

With a cumulation of weakness, having less action the last couple of years with partner being pregnant, then having a newborn and then now expecting again, It's all got to me, and I've started watching P.O.R.N again and fapping and it's started to get regular, I feel more and more stressed (sexually frustrated at most times) feeling negative, feel weak and loads less confident.

I'm back here again for the help and to start the nofap journey once more. I know I can do it, just need to get myself out of this rut and gain back my self-control.

Wow man, couple of years long streak? That's amazing, congrats. You should be giving us advice how to achieve such long streak. Seriously what would you say were the most important actions you took that helped you stay away from PMO for so long?

As for relapse, it's a pain in the ass, I understand, but with your successful mileage, I have no doubt you will continue on the right path without big problems. What you managed to achieve really gives us all hope, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks dude! Yeah just have to remember that. Well the main one would have been when I met my soulmate...You know how it is (won't go into detail in case of triggers) But there wasn't any NEED to fap as such, but I also told her not long into the relationship about my previous issue with fapping, she was fully supportive which helped.

I also kept myself busy...especially at the start, went gym a lot. before I met her I focused on learning everything dating, body language, what women want, in the bedroom stuff etc. Then got myself on tinder and had some fun.

Every time a trigger happened so like a raunchy ad on TV, for example, I focused on my breathing and then got busy studying, going to the gym or learning something.

I'll have more of a think but hope these help

Welcome back! I suggest you do this on hard mode to experience the real benefits.

Thanks! Yeah i don't think I'll be doing hard mode...I just know that wouldn't work for me, Plus don't want it to affect my partner.

It's got to be normal mode for me

Ok so I was at the gym today...Seen I a woman in tight clothing, my immediate thought was "I'll watch porn later" so I've now decided to keep busy and mow the grass and trim the hedge (no pun intended ha!)

*Side note*

Felt strong at the gym today...Know it's only phycological but I liked the feeling

Are you less busy now ? I've notice that when I don't have a busy schedule I'm more prone to feel like relapsing.
If so, I would advise getting a daily + weekly + monthly schedule busy with what you want to accomplish in life / with you kids / with your wife and try to focus your energy and especially your time to it. We magically always have energy to PMO but the time is limited.

I would also recommend staying away from screen as much as possible, especially the TV, which is the more brain-pervasive form of "entertainment" and try reading more. Doing too much sport can be counter-productive as it raise up testosterone and boost up the libido (in any form).

Also I would recommend getting professional help. I've started seen a sexologist twice a month since two month ago and it changed my life! Each of us are unique individuals and every advise cannot be good for everyone. So personalized and professional help is really a must-go ! :)

Umm nah i'd say im quite busy ha! Juggling continental night shifts with trying to start a dog training business in my free time, with a 20 month old and another on the way. But i've got used to that so maybe not busy enough! :D

Yeah i do like to read, and NEED to read more again, so thanks i'll start readingg again.

Waow you sound already quiiiiiite busy all right ! Maybe too much ^_^
Too much pressure lead to a big feeling of wanting to relieve it.
May I suggest reading about "cardiac coherence" ? They are breathing exercises, very, very useful ! It's like having a toolbox for all life distresses always available.

Yes i feel this way sometimes...And agree with you.

I was working for myself but subcontracting to someone...they let me go abruptly no proper reason, i paid for the training etc. So now im in a situation where i'm having to start from scratch creating my business but had to go back into full time employment to support the family. So it's just got to be this way until i can get the business up and running and getting in clients.

Thanks i really appreciate that. Just watched a video regarding Chester Bennington (linkin Park) dealing with anxiety and depression etc He mentioned how if you have a headache, you take time out, or take medication or even go to the doctor. but if you're stressed or suffer from mental illness you just carry on and ignore it. My point is porn and masturbation are a mental issue, it's an addiction.

So i'll take what help i can get and i will look into reading that book, definitely need some breathing exercises.

Welcome here ! There is a lot of help available here on this forum and the website. Look and read all threads concerning beginners, you will find what you are looking for.
If you know someone close which you can trust, you may consider telling him or her about your addiction.

You may also consider the Dante Divine Comedy Challenge, helps a lot ! :)
