Visited a cat sanctuary and saw how the community is saving native birds and the cats as well!❤️❤️❤️
Wait ... how can those two things happen together? I'm not sure those are real cats.
Haha! I can image your mental picture. A classroom of cats - "Now cats, we respect the birds, not eat them and especially don't kill them for pleasure! And leave those nests on the ground alone! I know, I know. It's like they're asking to be eaten, but some birds just haven't "evolved" and we should still treat them equally. Now, be on your way and remember, birds are our friends!"
It's like a cat zoo. Cats who are friendly get adopted out after getting fixed and a health check. Cats who are feral are trapped, fixed, and relocated to enclosed acreage - confined to an area that they are "free" to roam, but fencing prevents them from getting out to prey on local bird's nesting sites. The cats get shade, housing units and food plus staff that repairs and cleans the site, and monitors if anyone needs medical treatment. Meanwhile, biologist are keeping track of bird populations, nesting sites and letting the sanctuary know when cats are spotted on the island so traps can be set.
I'm sure some cats complain but the majority of them looked happy to be fed round the clock instead of having to wait for a chick to hatch. So much that some of them have become tame and adoptable!
I dunno. Sounds like the Sanctuary Districts for cats.
Went to work. Created a tree in my classroom. Trained a new employee. It's my anniversary today so it's relax time with the SO.
Thank you! 11 years married, 12 together. Phew!

Just so you know how important it is to treat yourself.

Got a promotion to a new subject leadership department position (ICT coordinator (IT) lead for Primary School) at work that I'm excited about. Thinking about the collaboration with my colleague and new ideas for subject curriculum.
