prior today , reddit quora youtube NoFap occasionally twitter but only if its been linked from reddit.

been realising reddit and quora or just echo chambers day after day after day . and not goina lie im guitlt of it aswell.

quora is the worst because if youve asked or answersd a question once you will them get asked these same questions or narratives every day because of the algorithms

in a sense you get pissed in one post and it comes back to haunt you everyday

we really are living in a social issue simulator day after day

    Reddit is the same

im subscribed to my countrys sub and everyday its the same political issues. its food rhough because i agree with them and things definitely need to change

but damn im beginning to think am i really happy with this crap

infact your more miserable than ever having to constantly debate or stand your ground.

what the fuck happened kind of scenario

i think i am going to initially quit social media for a day none at all

its messed up to think i will struggle with this

  2. I use Facebook primarily to talk to the handful of people who refuse to migrate from it that I can't talk to anywhere else. I'm starting to hate that site, even when I curate my feed to avoid annoying content I keep being assaulted by suggested pages that are just liberal misinformation even though nothing on my actual feed is political at all, just memes.

I used to lurk twitter but the recent update stopped me because now you need an account to browse and I don't have one. Reddit is a cesspit but admittedly you can use it for very specific answers to questions. I browse 4chan a lot, I don't care what anyone says tha site is entertaining as hell and not as neutered as other sites. I don't browse any of them that much though.

  3. I use a paid app called Freedom, which I use to block all social media websites. It also blocks porn, new sites, gaming, and a slew of other things. I have every known social media site blocked, and I think it's better that way, since it will keep me better focused when I'm at work or at home.

To be honest, I don't really miss social media in the slightest. First it was taken over by the worst types of people, and now governments wish to regulate it to suit their own agenda (a.k.a misinformation, their go-to buzzword for censorship). It's a waste of time, and it ironically makes people even less social. All of it is blocked across three devices I use since last month, and I like it that way.

Twitter, 30 minutes a day. Only have a desktop so it's easy to enforce time limits. Other than that I use nothing else. Not really a fan of centralized internet since information shouldn't be condensed and regulated into one singular site. Twitter tries to be the be-all and end-all of social media, everyone from Facebook mums to Tumblr artists migrated over. It's a complete mess, I preferred when each community of people had their own respective websites and forums. No one says "Google it" anymore because it doesn't work. Reddit pops up at the top every time. And duckduckgo is a pseudo-private search engine that does nothing. The internet sucks now.

Not anymore anyway yeah. Most page 2 websites are AI-written now. There are probably some niche little nerdy communities still out there but I'm too much of a dumb zoomer for Linuxy tech stuff, born too late for that. I'm sick of the internet as a whole.

  7. No I mean the internet literally never existed at all. None of us are real. You are nothing more than a half remembered dream of the blind idiot god and the music that keeps him asleep is coming to an end. And with it all you'll ever know.

I only use this site and Youtube. For me Youtube = the internet at this point. The days of google searching websites are long over.

My uncle had this big shelf of CDs and DVDs, Mr. Bungle was one of his favourites. Listening to Mr. Bungle while playing Sly Cooper 4 on his PS3 is a memory engraved permanently into my brain. Makes me feel old even though I'm a zoomer.

  16. You should listen to their other albums if you haven't already.

Social media can sometimes feel like a never-ending loop of the same stuff. Reddit and Quora can be guilty pleasures, but I understand what you mean about the repetitive narratives. It's true. Algorithms can keep throwing the same topics at us. It's like they're haunting us with the same questions over and over again. And yeah, it can get draining to engage in constant debates or stand your ground on certain issues.Taking a break from social media for a day sounds like a solid idea. A little digital detox can be refreshing. Oh, and if you're ever looking to give your online presence a boost, you might wanna check out options to buy cheap Twitter followers.

I'm with @rheinpfalz. I don't have it all blocked, I just don't go. I named it as part of my diet, which is very simple. I don't put refined sugar in my body, and I don't put social media in my brain. It distracts but never satisfies, and it occupies my time where I could have been doing something productive. Same with "news" and other outlets. I have no idea what's going on out there. Some might say that makes me an irresponsible citizen, but I don't believe I need to know. The world is burning, sometimes literally, but there's not a thing I can do about it so I shut off the noise, touch grass, and guess what? It's okay. It's all okay.
