I relapsed for the first time since starting nofap this christmas. I got to 81 days. Feels bad of course, but at the same time I feel good about the new start, and my new goal of 150 days. I experienced big benefits during this period and can't wait to have them again, and this time in combination with the spring and summer, it will be great!
In a way, you still have those benefits. You sound positive regardless of relapsing which I'm certain is better than the perspective we all had before we started our no-PMO journeys; we once saw it as utter failure but now we see it as an opportunity to realise the mistakes we made, learning from those mistakes. Keep going and I'm sure you'll reach Day 150.
Nice! I have not read that book but I did watch the documentary "Awake". When I am sitting with a timer (I use the phone app Insight Timer) I will sometimes count my breath, but I am working away from the 1-10 counting. The meditation practice that I started with and still use primarily is outlined in the book "The Mind Illuminated". In day to day activities I try to not count my breath sometimes a situation calls for me to count breaths. It took me about 1 hour and 15 mins to run that distance (I think) I do not really run for time too much but I wear a watch because I have somewhere to be at 7:10 in the morning Are you a runner?!
Day 150! Finally, I have reached the next level @RiseToGreatness ! I have long awaited this step! I wish everyone a strong day!
Check in Fellowship i overate on today´s lunch and was tired and lethargic all afternoon, just hit the couch and watch tv 4 hours straight . not a good habit but i couldn´t do anything else either . i´m very balanced in food terms and always eat until i feel satisfied, never go to the edge of fullness. but on weekends i tend to loose myself a bit. well, from now on i´m gonna be responsable around food all days of the week, because i´m tired of stuffing myself and then pay the price on the following hours. what´s the point anyway? much better to enjoy food and keep the energy and good mood anyway, these were my 2 cents of reflexion for the day . I hope your Sunday was good. The following brothers have upgraded and reach places in Middle Earth. Congratulations!!!! @aeburbt -Uruk-Hai @kingsmokepoof - Doors of Durin / Moria @eagle rising - King / Henneth Annûn Let´s welcome back our returned brothers @Ashen One and @Cooperator_Dei . Good to be with you once more my brothers, now let´s go South to the black land!! Checking out my Fellowship. Have a great day!!! Easy_peasy. "4.4 Crossing the red line As with any other drug, the body tends to develop immunity to the effects of the same old clips, our brain wanting more or something else. After short periods of watching the same clip it ceases to completely relieve the withdrawal pangs that the previous session created. There’s a tug of war occurring in this porn paradise, you want to stay on the safe side of your ’red line’ but your brain is asking you to click on the forbidden fruit clip. You feel better after engaging in this porn session, but you’re more nervous and less relaxed than someone who never started, even though you’re living in a supposed porn paradise. This position is even more ridiculous than wearing tight shoes because as you go through life an ever increasing amount of discomfort remains after taking the shoes off. Because the userknows the little monster has to be fed, they themselves decide the time, tending to be on four types of occasions or a combination of them. Boredom / Concentration - Two complete opposites! Stress / Relaxation - Two complete opposites! What magic drug can suddenly reverse the very effect it had minutes before? The truth is that porn neither relieves boredom and stress or promotes concentration and relaxation. If you think about it, what other types of occasions are there in our lives, bar sleep? If you have ideas of toning down to other types of ’realistic’ or ’soft’ genres of porn, please note the content of this book applies to all porn, print, webcams, pay-per-views, chat, live shows, etc. The human body is the most sophisticated object on the planet, but no species, even the lowest amoeba or worm, survives without knowing the difference between food and poison. Through natural selection our minds and bodies have developed techniques for rewarding actions that multiply and sustain humanity. They’re not prepared for supernormal stimuli that are bigger, brighter and edgier than anything found in nature, even the most muted two dimensional image causes us to become aroused. But repeatably look at the same image and you won’t be. In real life, checks and balances ensure you do something else but internet porn has no such limiter, causing you to spend your life in a virtual harem! It’s a fallacy that physically and mentally weak people become users, the lucky ones being those who found their first instance repulsive and are cured for life. Alternatively, they aren’t mentally prepared to go through the severe learning process of fighting to get themselves hooked, fears of ’getting caught’ or not being technical enough to operate browser privacy settings. Perhaps the most tragic part of the whole business relates to teenagers – skilled in finding material and covering their tracks – who start in increasing number. Enjoying internet porn is an illusion. Jumping from genre to genre, merely keeping our novelty ’monkey’ within the ’red line’ of ’safe’ porn genres in order to get our dopamine fix. Like heroin addicts, all they’re really enjoying is the ritual of relieving those pangs."
Day 10, Taking a test to check heavy metals in my body to see if that is a contributing factor to my wonky blood counts. Weather front is moving in which throws me off a little bit, but intending to keep a level head and spend my time productively. Bought a learn how to draw book and a book of sheet music from The Legend of Zelda to work on. Plannning to run tomorrow afternoon before temps drop good and low on Tuesday. Bring awareness to your every day actions and make conscious choices. -No Random Actions- Tally-ho Fellowship! Thank you for all of the support!
I run from time to time, last time it took me 1 hour and 31 minute to run 8.7 so I'm rather average one when it comes to running. I'm working on improving it though. Do you drink water while you run?
TITLE - ORC Day 0/500 Ratio-Day/Relapse= 8/59= 0.13 Longest streak - 18 Last streak - 2 Total PMO - 220 Total hours remaining - 11968 Days remaining - 500 Promise- 1 Jan 2020 Challenges completed - 0 1 DAYS - (24th Jan 2021) 3 DAYS - 7 DAYS - 14 DAYS - 21 DAYS - 30 DAYS - 45 DAYS - 60 DAYS - 90 DAYS - 365 DAYS - 500 DAYS - I made again the grave mistake of keeping my mobile near me at night. I have seen a pattern in PMO session is that I am most likely to relapse at night so to counter it I leave my mobile from myself at 6 pm but I picked up my mobile and forgot to put it in another room hence I got acess and I Relapse so no mobile for me at night.
I do not drink water while running. Often times I run early in the morning so I hydrate well the day before and drink a little while stretching in the morning . And 1 hr 31 mins is a great time dude!
Day 24 Another straightforward day! I spoke to my girlfriend about the difficulties I experienced a few days ago and she was very understanding, it was so helpful to talk through the change in my attitude towards PMO - helps to remind me why I’m doing this!
