I am looking for people who are fluent in Chinese to help finish translating this book since there are a total of 140 chapters and I would REALLY like a full English translation because this book is the reason that I am free from PMO for over a month now! I am willing to help with editing the grammar but I don't know Chinese, so I can't translate it myself.
I think Soaring Eagles article has been taken off the Chinese website. On page 33 of this thread there is a link that used to bring it to the Chinese website and we could just use Google translate to read it. but now, when I click on the link, the article is no longer there
well, reading that book really helped me a lot. The author of that book is a true hero to the NoFap world in my opinion. but yea, you are right. I have learned all I need to know from his writings already.
Hi everyone, I really like this thread so I went ahead to edit and make an online ebook version for readability. You can read at rebootremedy.github.io The EPUB and PDF versions are also available for download. Hope that's OK with @HMHU. Thank you for translating this book. Good luck everyone on your rebooting journey!
This is a simple and powerful tool that Yale Professor Judson Brewer recommends for skilfully handling our urges. "With addicts, we use a RAIN acronym. We get them to: R - Recognize what craving feels like. A - Allow it to be present without pushing it away, allow it to come up, do its dance and fade away. I - Investigate what craving feels like in my body right now with curiosity. N - Note craving as it comes and goes along with tension, yearning, and tightness in the body. We have found in our research that the more these addicts practice this approach, the more skillful they become at 'urge surfing,' or ride out their urges without acting on them." ~ Judson Brewer, M.D., Ph.D., Assistant Professor (Adjunct) of Psychiatry; Medical Director, Yale Therapeutic Neuroscience Clinic
Yes! This is the correct way to deal with urges. If you supress or ignore urges, they will come back with greater intensity. Observe them and they will go away.
The “hands climbing feet” movement is a simplified version of this movement in Eight Brocade Qigong showed in this video (from 4:54) https://youtu.be/3HMLtN7BOlY?t=294 I made a video on how to do the “hands climbing feet” movement as I learned in “broadcast gymnastics” in middle school: https://youtu.be/-xrnNS6ZXA4 When doing the movement, you can keep your legs straight instead of stepping aside. The important thing is the stretchy feeling. More on nocturnal emissions is discussed in Season 7, Season 16, and Season 41. You can read the book at: rebootremedy.github.io
In eight brocade exercise i didn't balance on my feet and where can feel strechy i mean which body parts we can focus..
