Without knowing your current level of fitness it’s hard to say. If you’re a bit out of shape then hitting the gym hard for a couple hours for a day or two might initially feel great but you won’t be able to keep it up and then you’ll feel down about it (and probably quite sore!) I’d start with 30-45 minutes 2-3 times a week, and build it up slowly. Most importantly learn to do the exercises properly. Poor form will lead to an injury and then you’ll hate it forever! Most gyms have introductory lessons and/or a PT to help you. And don’t worry about not being “macho” enough by not lifting big heavy weights. Good form always beats heavy weights. There’ll always be other guys (and sometimes girls!) lifting more than you. They all started at the bottom too. It’s only about improving yourself and it takes times. Even after 6 years at the gym there are loads of guys lifting more than me and I sometimes feel a bit feeble, but instead of fretting about it I just go and chat with them, ask them how long they’ve been working out, what they’re goals are? Turns out socialising is good for you too! If the gym isn’t your thing then there’s loads of sports and activities to try. I’m also a very keen runner and usually bang out 6-10 miles a day. Sometimes fast on my own, or leisurely with my wife, or socially with my running club friends. Each offers different benefits: alone time to reflect and recharge, time to reconnect with my wife, or catch up with friends socially. The other thing I’ve done recently was become a Committee Member for my running club. I can be a bit useless socially so this really took me out of my comfort zone and forced me meet and work with new people: men and women. It’s all good stuff. Getting out and about. Being with people. Connecting. Realising there are better and more meaningful things to do than hide away fapping. It’s challenging and uncomfortable but extremely rewarding. Sorry, long post and I went off on a bit of a tangent. Just suddenly had a lot to say!
Six days down, one to go. The only possible chance for relapse on day six happened when I came home from work and sat down in front of the computer. I hit the net with no purpose in mind and found myself opening a new tab. First thought that came to mind was to type in the address of one of my old vice sites. Instead of doing that, I closed my laptop and picked up a book to start reading. My plan for the next challenge is to take up the habit of reading a once a week anyway so why not start my reading habit on a Monday.
2/7! Day 3 here we come, I'm feeling good! I've got the next two days off work so I really have to try and fill them with productive stuff because I always have the toughest time on my off days. Any tips for me?
Literally as soon as home time comes I start looking forward.... then the first thing I do when I getting home form work is look for P. And again we start!
Clear you path of triggers and patterns. Make something else the first thing you do when you get home from work. Replace a bad habit with a good one. Or go to the gym after work instead and go ape-shit crazy on the punchbag for 30 minutes. Let out some masculine anger and energy. You’ll be amazed how calm you feel afterwards.
So i pretty much did the challenge but i couldn't post every day because i was really busy, anyway i broke it yesterday and that once again prove me that i have some resistance now but i need to keep going and fighting; so see you in the 14 day challenge Also keep getting up and resisting
