Day 9.it was really nice today I saw some physical betterment in myself. From two days I was really depressed and anxious but I didn't relapsed and recovered myself from the situation. Now I am trying to focus myself forward to nofap and my life goals.

    IMPORTANT
THIS MIGHT BE THE REASON EVERYONE EXPERIENCES A RELAPSE AFTER A CERTAIN PERIOD OF TIME.

It's what I call it a pesudo-sense of happiness. After day 3 or so you feel like everything is back to normalcy and feel very happy about having finally doing the work you always wanted to do. A bit of dopamine is released now. This can make you want for more of it , so it might lead to a relapse.
So just be aware of yourself all the time.

What's up everybody, more one day without PMO (thank god). Today I'll tell you the 3 top mistakes that people make when trying to overcome porn addiction:

1°Mistake: use pornography to stop feeling bad.
This is a terrible mistake because life is pretty hard. Stress, sadness, anxiety, problems, whatnot, those are things that everybody has to deal with, and if keep using pornography to escape from those things you will never overcome your addiction.

2°Be hard on yourself every time you relapse.
That's gonna make you angry or sad and you'll relapse again and again. It's gonna be a cycle that will maybe last for days maybe weeks.

3°Focus a lot on not watching porn.
If you tell your brain to not think about a big grey elephant with white tusks you will think about it.

  10. Day 1: I had urges to watch porn almost half the day. Then it got away and it went back at me again this afternoon but the good thing is I haven't faced any trigger. I cut off half of my internet activities with or without social m dia. Still the boredom is catching my breadth currently because I havent used social media at all really. Even before relapse.

  11. I think this can be the very reason why I relapsed after a 3day window. I was motivated throughout the day and the minute I saw triggers one after the another. I became too impulsive to watch porn

I made a stupid decision to fast for 24h and cold showers to stay awake to fix my sleep (no caffeine, nofap, no food, no dopamine)
all at once while staying home alone on a hot summer weekend with no electronics.
it required way much willpower than I had left, it started well but I ended up relapsing and binging again before evening. back to day 0 :emoji_disappointed:

Day 4: today was pretty easy actually because most of the days I'm feeling stressed (I live in a pretty noisy place) and I'm always alone at home, so it is hard to deal with the addiction when I'm constantly exposed to those triggers. But today I didn't pass through those problems and it was fine.

But I had some sexual thoughts, like always, and when that happens I just ignore them by being totally focused on the activity that I'm doing. The problem is, sometimes those thoughts are stronger than me, and even if I don't jerk off that day, I'll probably lose in a near future.

And, for some reason the fifth day is usually the hardest day for me, it's like a barrier that is really hard to pass through.

Day 1, just relapsed after a 60-65 (can't remember exact day, but under 70) streak.
Don't really have much advice other than keep electronics outside of reach when you go to bed and keep showers hot and quick or just cold.
