  1. In this challenge the rule is to abstain from PMO :). So, edging is not allowed.

    Checking in Saiyans!

148 Days Free of PMO (checking in for 147 too)

I was busy yesterday and did not have time to check in. As @Against_the_demon_in_myself said nice to so this thread so lively.

Remember, do not replace one empty dopamine chase for another brothers. If you are replacing PMO with video games, TV binge, social media scrolling or mindless internet searches, you are stunting your growth and still frying your brain with cheap dopamine release.

    Keep training!

@Kingfisher Thank you for keeping tabs as always brother.

@Shadow444 As @Kingfisher said, it is harmful. A porn addict has a high likelihood of returning to full PMO by edging. Edging floods your brain with none stop dopamine release, thus with time it can fry your dopamine receptors and be highly addictive. It's very bad and should not be taken lightly.

Hesitation is always a part of the journey. that's why I don't consider edging as a relapse cuz specially in the beginning you don't have the enough amount of self control to resist and it ends up with partial loss + partial regret + Learning from it. trust me if edging considered relapse it will be a similar case with fapping 3 times at day 0 cuz You say it's day 0 it is what it is, it doesn't matter. If you know what I mean. I hope my point is clear. that's my opinion.

Resetting the counter gives you a psicological effect telling yourself that this action is against your recovery. There are different things that moves you to day 0.

Masturbate or edging once without porn, can be considered a slip. You must reset the counter but if you resists the Chaser effect and don't binge all the previous effort is not lost.

If you PMO and also binge, it destroys the majority of your progress and it is a lot more difficult to escape from day 0.

I mean, yes it is day 0 but we must resist the temptation of who cares? And avoid smoking 3 boxes at once just because is day 0.

Your point is clear for me.

I respectfully disagree on this. Once you've been addicted to porn (that's like almost everyone in these times) you can never, ever edge. It's the dopamine rising act / chase / habit that we are trying to kick and rewire in our brain. In no circumstance is this to be rationalized. It is not just about retaining seed, it is about rewiring the brain to healthy behaviors, restoring the sensitivity to real partners and to restore hormonal balance in the body. Is your day count only based on retaining seed and did you edge during this time frame?

Very nice man! And agree 100% on the replacement of the dopamine chase... replacing PMO is not recovering indeed! What I do is the following:
    - Sit down on my couch with zero distraction (no tv,pc,phone, etc.) and just think, look outside or meditate (doing this a lot last couple of date and feels good)
    - Go for walks varying from 10 min to sometimes even 2-3 hours
    - Go to the gym (But for me it's not part of recovery since I have been doing this 4x week for over 20 years now, but still good to keep doing)
    - Do (offline!!) social activities like meeting friends, go dancing, etc.
    - Read a book
    - Try to sleep at least 7 hours each night and go to bed at about the same times (max 1 hour variation)

What I also removed from my life:
    - Don't use FB, IG or any of these platforms
    - Restrict YouTube time to max 30 min to 1 hour a day and always try to watch something educational
    - Junkfood: no candy, no crisps, no cookies, no cake or pie, no soda, no McD or any deep fried foods whatsoever (this is not due to this journey but it does help)
    - TV / Netflix / movies: I only would watch a movie with a (girl)friend, never ever alone

    Day 6
    Mood: 5/10 & Energy: 5/10

Mood is dropping, although I slept 7 hours I again woke up at 6AM and not really rested. Nagging headache still quite present and feeling quite sad and frustrated. I had this weird revelation that I feel I've thrown away such an important part of my life the last 10-20 years partially by this addiction... :( I think I am now at a point where I wouldn't mind if I just would not wake up tomorrow. Urges are also dropping now to 2/10, I have little to no pleasure in life and just feel like going through the motions... I still do all my routines of working, going to the gym, do groceries, laundry, etc. but I need to discipline myself in doing those things. But I have zero motivation in actually doing anything...just let me sit in my chair and let me be...Yesterday evening again sat down on my chair and stared outside for a couple of hours thinking and meditating and will probably do that tonight as well.

On the bright side, I am really grateful for this challenge we're in together and look forward each day to write about my progress and share it with you who are also in it grinding through. Although it has been more of a decline in my mood and energy, I know this is part of the journey and I am dedicated to hold the line. We're warriors and fight the fight we need to do. We do not fall back or give up. We do not throw in the towel on a set back, we dust off, refocus and keep attacking it!

Last remark: also still going strong only check my WhatsApp / dating apps on my phone once or twice a day. I noticed that I am not even looking forward anymore in doing it...feels more like a chore. Interesting progress!

This thread is slowly turning from helping each other to arguing with each other . Do not argue my friends , we are not going to get anywhere by arguing . We are here to support each other . I want to help you

If you arguing with me too , i am doing this for 4 years , while most of you for a few weeks or months . I know how this works better than you . I already know what you are going to say because you just say what you read in website

But i told you that not everything in website is true . How did i found it out ? I did already monk mode 120 days , it was not becoming " easyer " as nofap says . It was becoming more and more difficult . Tili i reached day 120 , my body was screaming , screaming to touch myself , and then i relapsed

And then i said " hey man " something is wrong . nofap said it becomes easyer after 30 days , while for me becomes more and more difficult after 30 days

While i am not having a desire to watch porn , i am only having a desire to fap . And then i realized , i am not fighting against any " addiction " i am fighting against function of my body . Against my biology

I am having much more benefits now, or what some people call " superpowers " much more than when i was on 120 days monk mode . My eyes are shiny , am very confident ( i was confident back then too , but even way more now ) perfect focus , perfect sences , my intuition is very strong , and endless list of another benefits has increased a lot

I am questioning myself now : is sticking to some " rule " of this website or anyting , going to increase my benefits ? Is it going to increase my superpowers ?

Yes , i was edging a few times , and i do not give a fuck , because i know it didn't affected me in any way. I still had all the benefits
