  2. I'll try to explain. So this is my first relationship and I had no experience to physical intimacy before that. So i guess this is jealously and i can't get the thought of someone else touching her and that's what's bothering me. Random negative thoughts starts flooding my mind, bad images etc. I really don't know what's happening.. That's why i asked her. I read on Internet that it's something called retroactive jealousy and I've been researching. It's just that her being intimate with someone else is bothering me. It's my first so maybe I'm projecting onto her k it should've been her first as well and it's not and that's the thing which might be bothering me. I really can't imagine her being with someone else.. It's frustrating me and making me sad at the same time. Idk why but someone else touching her everywhere is giving me creeps. Ik it sounds really immature. I'll work on it

  3. Thank you so much fellow saiyan.. Appreciate it

    Day 62

I know this kind of feeling, something this similar happened to me years ago around 2018 when I was going out with a girl I had a huge crush on from my town :(

    Day 12

I was posting in the Jedi Order but no one is active there right now so I'll come here for community.

I feel like I have a lot better vibes lately and that I'm able to focus on more positive things to do in life. Other than nofap, I am reading books that I always wanted to read and that I am back at playing piano. When I did nofap before I would also play a lot of video games or be on the internet too much. That was really substituting one bad habit for another because the core issue is that I was avoiding taking responsibility for my life, and avoiding feeling what I'm feeling when I relapse or playing video games addictively.

    Day 1 brothers

@Baki Hanma keep going brother, we got this. We've already made so much progress

@Dovahkin101 I agree. Video games and YouTube tend to be time wasters. I recently put my switch into storage because I have far more important things to do. Having a proper sleep schedule I find is paramount.

May Fortune favor you in your nofap journey. With video games I've been back and forth thinking it is the absolute worst thing other than pmo, to playing it addictively again. Now I think they are okay as long as it's not something your wasting your life over as with anything else. I have my consoles hooked up but I've on'y played a few hours in the past few weeks because I've been focusing so much on better things. I might play a little bit at some point, but if it turns into a binge session where my day is wasted on it then it's a problem. Video games I think has only become a problem in the past decade or so with addiction I think because now it's really easy to be anti-social with it being in your room all the time alone. In the past it was more of a popular thing to play games with your friends which I think was okay.

It's normal for other people you're in a relationship to have been with other people in the past, and that they may even have had sex. That's just most people. It's actually kind of rare these days where you get into a relationship with someone who is a virgin, unless if it's a very religious couple. And the problem here you're having is your reaction. You are resisting the fact that she was in a relationship and maybe you want her all to yourself, and that no one has ever touched her before other than yourself. The thing is is that if you let this reaction you've had take root in your feeling and thinking it could actually end up ruining your relationship. You don't necessarily need to do anything bad, but she might get that feeling that something is off about you and not really like you anymore. Being your first relationship I can understand why this might feel stressful, but this is normal and there are going to be a lot of ups and downs that you'll go through. Remember that the root of the problem started within yourself and that you decided to resist a simple fact, that she was in a relationship before you. And from that point focus on that feeling of hatred or whatever it is and let it flow through you. Accept the feeling and hug it to death. Embrace that feeling like you embrace your girlfriend. I can recommend a book to learn how to be a really emotionally mature man, or an emotionally deep man. It's called Blue Truth by David Deida. He talks about how to love yourself and how to love a woman properly. He also has other books on relationships and sex that might interest you as well.

@Dovahkin101 there's absolutely nothing wrong with videogames in my view. Sure, it can be a real problem only if over spending time with it, but I have to disagree on the part that's 'worst than pmo'. I grew up gaming and I still play sometimes, but I was never lazy because I learned self-control and learned to spend time with school/college work, especially productivity.

Does anyone watch Avatar the anime? The story of Iroh and Zuko is about an immature boy learning to grow up into an emotionally mature man. "Hope is something you give yourself. That is the meaning of inner strength... You are not the man you used to be Zuko. You are stronger and wiser and freer than you have ever been."
I tear up every time I watch this video. It just says so much about what it means to grow up as a boy into a man. Zuko was full of hatred, confusion and doubt about who he was. He believed that he had to get the acceptance of his villainous father by capturing the Avatar. His father in the first place didn't even care about Zuko, he was just a toy to him. And Zuko learned how good the Avatar was over time, and they eventually became good friends. His uncle as well helped him so much. He never got angry with Zuko even when he messed up big time. He just wanted him to learn from his mistakes and to grow into the man that he was meant to be, rather than to stay oppressed for the rest of his life by trying to conform to the image his father wanted him to be. Sometimes when I'm having a hard time I watch this again and its really fortifying and its only a few minutes. It allows me a chance to reset my emotions and to focus again.

    It's plain and simple:
    1. If it happend before you were officially together: none of your business and don't even bring it up or pay attention to it. Just man up, deal with it and discipline yourself. If you cannot do it yourself, seek (professional) help but never let her know. Because that will lower her interest in you.
    2. It happened during your relationship: she cheated, drop her and move on. Never talk to her again. Man up, deal with it and discipline yourself.
You can figure out what the common denominator is in both situations. Good luck.

Today at noon I'll be reaching my 500 days mark.

In my opinion I've completed the first few stages of this journey and can say I'm close to completely healed. Probably I'll need another year to be as close as I can be to being a man who'd never been exposed to these high dopamine stimuli.

In the last 5-10 years I not only won the battle over my porn addicition but I've managed to improve / discipline my life in many many other areas. But, as all meaningful journeys; I'll never be done working on this.

If anyone wants coaching: send me a message in this topic, not private. Since I believe we should all be able to learn from each other's mistakes / improvements. If you want to improve your willpower, go educate yourself about it. Education = motivation.

Here's a good article that gives an excellent explanation how it works and how best to train your willpower (yes it works like a muscle): https://www.apa.org/topics/personality/willpower

Congratulations on beating the pmo addiction!

I have a question for you. What's does your average day look like now? How do you spend your time? Is it all discipline or do you take time to relax and enjoy life?

    Day 13

I have been making progress by not just focusing on goals, but also doing things that I really enjoy. As long as it's hobbies that don't turn into a bad habit. After work I plan on going to the bookstore for an Alan Watts book, and getting some Epsom salts for a hot bath. On my days off next week I have a pretty solid plan of what I want to do. Some time focusing on my goals, as well as some time to relax.

In the past I wouldn't have any plan of what to do with my time off from work and inevitably it would turn into a binge fest of video games or pmo.
