Loneliness is a major trigger because PMO thrives in isolation. We are urged to always choose community over privacy, but what happens when we are all alone at night.
I read somewhere about a man goes the extra mile when he goes out of town to give his hotel room keys to lock him inside so that he doesnt go to the nearby strip tease. And the urge went away knowing he cant go there anymore.
What we can try is if we are going to be alone at night, if possible we can give our phones and laptops to someone to keep for us throughout the night. the urge may go away since we know in our minds that we cant access it anymore.
I've observed for a while now i have been weak. Feeling exhausted. I'm too young to be feeling like this everyday. My research shows pmo might be a major factor.
Me too.. We can do this.
Día cero: comenzando un nuevo desafío. Mateo 5:8: "Bienaventurados los de limpio corazón, porque ellos verán a Dios".

Day 8 of 14,
The urges keep coming, and I keep winning.

Day 9/14 complete.
I had a great weekend camping with some fun, supportive, genuinely caring people. Makes a big difference to sense of belonging, connectedness etc.
Having said that, first day back at home mostly alone - too tired to do much. The call to MO or PMO was strong. One thing that helped today was reading some more from this webpage: 12 Week Withdrawal Walkthrough (I've kept it in an open tab for moments such as these). Then reading up on Delta FosB and the way it interacts with the reward system to contribute to addictions. I even drew myself some graphs showing the dopamine hits, sensitivity to dopamine decreasing, mood changes etc, and put it above the computer for reference. Not technically accurate, I'm sure, but I think it can be helpful to understand at least a little about what is going on in our brains as we literally fight against our own programming.
Best wishes, Fapstronauts :-D
