I believe there are 2 fixes that is to be implemented:

Quick fix - make effort to avoid, analyse and study your triggers. Study and analyse what made you relapse (etc a frequent visited website, browsing web at night, browsing web when you're alone, particular group of friends). If its a social media, delete/limit them, if its a meme website, avoid or find an alternative, if its bad company, avoid being with them. In short, pay attention at what triggers you and make educated decisions to avoid them.

Ultimate fix - through the quick fix, you are now less likely to relapse (as typically PMO engagement begins with being triggered). However, understand that ultimately triggers don't matter, urges aren't going to go away, what you need to focus is your coping mechanism to handle those urges. Once you achieve that, regardless of what pops up in front of you, you wont be bothered. There are ways to attend to that urge, you could transmute that energy into sports, hobbies, etc. What's important is that you find the channel that works for you. For me it is exercising, specifically contact sports. Supportive habits like cold showers, intermittent fasting, exercising and outdoor activities are amongst the top activities that are said to help you cope with the urges/frustration. Further, constantly revise your "WHY" on the reason you stopped PMO (the minimum reason I believe everyone should have to to be in control of your desires and not dwell in addictions), will write about this soon. In short, cope your urges by transmuting them through productive activities. You may read more about this in my post "Understanding urges and how to react to it".

So you need to develop a strong defence mechanism (the ultimate fix). However, without the quick fix, it is difficult to build the ultimate fix. Hence, both needs to be implemented. Quick fix gives you space to breathe, but does not solve the problem ultimately, you'd need to implement the ultimate fix as well. "Give a hungry man a fish and also teach him how to fish". Realise one thing, there's the devil in front of you (the urges you get) and theres the devil within (defence mechanism). Control the devil within (having a defence mechanism) and you wont be bothered about the devil in front of you (the urges).

    Why people complain its tough
Majority of people complain nofap/noPMO being tough while they go into it without having other dopamine enriching habits like sports or hobbies. Of course it's tough that way! You're not supposed to go into nofap like that, you're supposed to substitute/find other dopamine producing habits so that you're not dopamine imbalance and feel depressed. Without dopamine producing activities, you're bound to feel depressed. It'll be tough, but the rewards supercede whatever difficulties you'll go through, so keep that in mind.

The above is what worked for me, and I hope it is beneficial for you.
