Emotional Control

Hi guys, this question popped into my head and I think it's important for many of us.
I have noticed that some of my most powerful triggers are my emotions.
Sadness kills my motivation, makes me feel meaningless and gives me an emergency exit.
Anger makes me go closer to my demons and porn is part of my worst demons.
Fear makes me want to disappear for a moment and go there.
So my question is, what would you recommend to deal with emotions? Not only these but in general. I hated some of them like anger, but I understand that I need a balance between them all. How do you do this?
 
Integrate a meditation practise into your life, you'll understand and be more aware of the triggers of your emotions, so you can better decide how to act upon these triggers.
