    Hi,

I just wanted to share the information I found about fasting and dopamine receptors. It turns out that fasting could be a way to speed up the recovery process.
I did a 24 hour water fast myself and I must say there is something to it. My mood is better and I feel better. Could fasting be a smart way of detoxifying the body and brain?

Here's what a lot of experienced people and even doctors and medical researchers have to say about fasting.

    1. Fasting is a smart way of resting the entire digestive system. The energy that is normally consumed by the digestive tract is used for healing and reparing body tissue.
    2. Fasting promotes growth of new neurones in the brain.
    3. Fasting increases production of dopamine and may be helpful to rebooting the reward center in the brain, helping addiction recovery.
    4. Fasting puts your body into ketosis if done properly, leading to fat being used up for energy instead of glucose. It is said that ketones are very, very good for the brain.
    5. Fasting promotes insuline sensitivity, leading to better blood sugar and therefore energy levels

These are the top 5 facts about fasting I came across. I definitely notice effects from a 24 hour water fast. Feel free to share your experiences! I really think intermittent fasting can be a way of speeding up the reboot.

Every organ in the body benefits and the effects of fasting are similar to those of exercise, although I think fasting has even more profound effects. It turns out the release of various endorphines and energy brought about by fasting are some sort of evolutionary mechanism to ensure survival. Either way I don't think that our ancestors had access to food all the time. No. They had to hunt food and search for it. Nowadays there's food everywhere, at every corner of the streets. So it totally makes sense that our bodies can do without food for a small period of time and that this is a healthy way of getting rid of toxins and that it could even have a healing effect.

What do you think? I'm not saying that you should try living without food for days on end. All I'm trying to say is that say a 24 hour fast could lead to improved well-being and that it could even be beneficial during reboot.

PS. Don't expect to feel better immediately after the fast. No. You'll feel like crap because of the toxins being released out of the organs and into your blood, until the kidneys and intestines deal with them and get rid of them. The newer blood stream however will make you feel pretty darn good.

    Cheers

Hi, thanks for sharing this. Can you share you personal experience with fasting now? Did it make your recovery faster? I am currently going through PAWS nearing 300 days journey and thinking of fasting to make my recovery faster.

Hmm. Very interesting. This may be worth trying on a weekend or when I am to be home for 24 hours. Thank you. I’ve heard of a lot of benefits from this.

i remember reading a christian book about a young black woman addicted to heroin. she found her way out through fasting.

this isn't widely discussed but women become addicted to heroin/cocaine more seriously than men do. it is harder for them to break the addiction.

they also get addicted to masturbation, like men only the consequences are a lot worse for them. prostitution, ending up in abusive relationships, getting pregnant. diseases.

you must free yourself and then free your sisters. be strong for the women.

this vid tells you a story that is really going on. the words tell you., 'you can't live without the fire, it's the heat that makes you strong, you must fight it everyday'

but the vid also shows, how Satan controls the lesser demon. if he refuses orders, he turns into a sword and slays him.

but you see , how Satan brings the woman angel to the ground, and then tortures her with magic.

that's what porn is doing to the human race. that's what they are doing to your human angels, with porn.

Fasting made my hair very thin. I would never do it again.

Deprived your body of important nutrients and vitamins? Hair thinning for just a 24-48 hour fast? It doesn’t seem possible. Especially if you faster and continued to take some vitamins.

It's worth trying. It's had a good impact on my mental health in particular.

Make sure you read up on it though and consult a doctor if there are health concerns. I made the mistake of gorging on food to break the fast. Instead you are supposed to eat small amounts of nutritious foods and build up slowly.

It would be great to hear from those who have more experience with longer fasts
