FEAR OF BEING GAY

    Hello ın august ı was in gym and a dude stared at me and ı was really scared because ı thought he is gay.And after that day ı am really afraid of being gay and ım in paranoia.I know ım straight because ı have currently a crush and back than ı loved a girl but ı cant get over that.ın a web site ı read that porn can make you gay and ıt made my fear double.and interestingly this fear hits me when ım alone and ı try not to think but ı think more please help me

    This sounds like HOCD, if you have no attraction to men, you are not gay.

    I’m in the same situation as you, I even have hard feelings for a girl right now who was interested in me, but due to this fear I showed lack of interest and now she doesn’t want me anymore.

    Keep fighting.

    This isn’t a case of checking out dudes, it’s a form of OCD. His brain is overreacting to every little thing and trying to make connections to homosexuality any way possible to convince him he’s gay.

    You could try this if you think it might help:

    Sit down somewhere comfortable. Now try and pay attention to your thoughts. Be ready for a triggering thought. When it happens, say to yourself something like, "That's triggering. I'm going to think about something better." Think about something you're interested in that isn't triggering, then go back to paying attention to your thoughts, being ready for a triggering thought.. and so on.

    If you do this for a little while it can kind of program your mind to give you a "trigger warning" when you start thinking about anything that is, you guessed it, triggering. This makes it easier to snap out of thoughts that could get you into trouble.
