Has anyone noticed an increase in acne/pimples since stsrting nofap?

It may sound strange but I have noticed an increase in skin boils and other pimple related issues whenever I begin a new streak. I’m pretty sure it has to do with a change in hormones. I’ve noticed they go away after a few weeks into the streak...

 

I've also noticed an increase of red pimples on my thighs. Not entirely sure what they are. Most likely scenario is that as your body is getting more resilient and accumulating nutrients, it starts fighting a benign bacterial skin infection called Keratosis Pilaris, which then causes the red bumps. That or some sort of hormonal change as the posts above suggest.

 

I have noticed that too, some pimples on my back and my face after I started. I think that's over now, after some weeks.

 

I’m the same man, they seem to come and go for me. I think you are right with the hormones hypothesis.

Honestly i don't think that nofap is making my skin better, but i noticed that cold showers does.

 

Despite the acne and skin boils I actually do notice an improvement in my skin overall. It tends to be very dry during the winter time where I live and my hands normally get extremely chapped and begin to crack during the winter months. However when I am on a streak my hands smooth out almost completely and my skin still feels moisturized and healthy despite the cold dry weather...

 

Might be due to nofap indeed, hormones stuff, the real reason why I have no idea though, you just focus on staying focused on your goal and don't touch the pimples, let them be or they will leave scars
