Hello! Thanks for the kind welcome! I'm just at the start of my journey so I'm excited and scared to see where it'll take me.

  2. Nice! I used to have a PS2 as a kid as well and Guitar Hero 3 was one if my favorite games at that time. Ahh, those good memories! It's a shame that Activision doesn't develop any new Guitar Hero games anymore, because they were so good! I'm getting quite jealous that you still own those games after all these years. Unfortunately, my PS2 broke after a couple of years and I switched to Xbox 360 instead of going with a PS3. I still have a functioning Xbox 360 that is 10+ years though, so that nice. I have 3 out of 4 possible Xboxes. 360, One and Series X and it's the Xbox OG i don't have, and never had since I got a PS2 during that time.

You mean that while you and your partner was watching a horror movie and all of a sudden some chick shows up without any sweater with her tits in full swing, you actually paused the movie to go away for a while to masturbate? Because if you wouldn't, you would not be able to finish the movie?

If that was a accurate summary of what you was trying to tell me, I have to agree with you that it's bad. What would your partner say when you all of a sudden paused the video and went to jerk yourself off? Maybe you went with a small lie that you had stomach issues and need to go to the bathroom asap, because you couldn't tell her that you all of a sudden got urges and needed to go deal with them?

I don't blame you, because I would have most likely done the same, if I were in your shoes. It wouldn't have sound good or appropriate if you would have said the truth to her like " I'm sorry but that chicks tits gave me strong urges and I need to go and beat the meat". I'm very certain many others would have done the same thing.

Nice! I've always been a Playstation and Nintendo guy. Super Mario 64 was (to my knowledge) the very first game I ever played! My half brother introduced me to it and 007 Goldeneye for the N64. Then I don't even remember how I got introduced to Resident Evil 4 but it was the very first horror related thing I ever really enjoyed! It was my opening into the world of horror.

And yes when I would pause the movie(s), I would usually just tell her "bathroom" then be in there for anywhere between 30 mins to an hour. After I would finish up in there, I would usually just say "sorry my stomach was bothering me again." I felt so terrible that I lied to her but I was genuinely embarrassed and scared to know how she'd react if I told her what I was really doing.

A couple days ago though when her and I talked about everything and I broke down, I told her about that and that I couldn't really control it but I felt so bad each time I did it. I thought she would be upset or mad or something but all she said was "ah that makes sense. Sorry to hear that hun." She then reassured me that I'm not alone through this process and she will always be by my side.

I know how you feel. I started aged 11, I'm almost 23 now.

My curiosity got the better of me, after watching a movie with my parents on TV after the 9pm watershed. A condom ad came on the TV and that prompted me to search similar queries into Google as you. I remember my aged 11 self typing 'how to sperm' on my newly gifted iPhone 3GS. I had also started learning sex ed in school, so that along with the condom ad triggered my curiosity.

I highly recommend Cold Turkey Blocker for PC. You can create a blocking list, and even block search queries. For example, you type 'porn' into the search bar and the browser search will be blocked. If you lock the blocker for a certain amount of time (highly recommended) you won't be able to disable it or uninstall it, basically forcing you to stop watching on PC. I have mine on for 6 months, so I cannot access any site on my blocked list for the entire 6 months on my PC.

On mobile I use an app called ScreenZen which is similar to Cold Turkey but not as restrictive. You can setup a password (you could get your partner to do this) and can block a list of websites using it. It even enables you to lock the in-app settings screen for 15 mins and the only way to unlock it is to have entered in the password and to wait out the entire 15 minutes without the screen locking or going off the app.

Good luck brother. I hope to keep in touch with you along the way to salvation!

Thank you so much for you response and sharing your experiences too. I will 100% look into the app when I have time! I don't have a pc so that solves one thing.

Thank you again! Hope to hear again from you :)

Of course man! Glad I can help. You seriously don't own a computer or laptop or anything? Damn that's insane haha. Helps with defeating this though of course. Yeah dude! I hope I can help you out!

Stay blessed, and keep me updated with how you're getting on!! :)

  7. That's cool! I didn't switch to Xbox because I thought it was the better console. As a kid I had a friend who owned a Xbox OG and during the summer breaks from school, I used to go his place and we played a lots of Halo 2.

I had more or less been nagging on my parents in weeks that I wanted a new console since both the 360 and PS3 had been released. We went to a local electronics store and my parents asked me which console I wanted. I remember that before I decided, I wanted to look at the physical games to make it an easier choice, maybe? After looking awhile I saw it "Halo 3" and I started to remember when I used to play Halo 2 at my former friends place and all the good memories just struck me and the decision was not as hard anymore, since Halo was at that time a Xbox exclusive game, and still are but you are able to play it on PC now as well.

I'm a huge Halo fan even today so it only make sense that I continued to buy new Xbox consoles. I bought my Series X together with Halo Infinite and I really enjoyed the new open-world style! Which made Halo feel like a brand new game, since it has only had missions before.

Nintendo has not been my cup of tea, I had another former friend during middle school that owned a Nintendo Wii and we would play games like Wii sport, super smash bros brawl and mario cart, but since I'm more of a first person shooter type of guy I didn't enjoy those games too much and a Wii wasn't on my wishlist.

A couple of years ago, I was watching youtube and one of those annoying ads interrupted the video I watched and a very familiar game started to play " The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim" and my first thoughts was " Huh, seriously? That game released 2011, It's not even a new game anymore" until I noticed that it was for the Nintendo Switch and my mind was blown! I said to myself "would I seriously be able to play one of my all time favorite games on the run?" and after that ad I decided to buy a Nintendo Switch when Skyrim was released.

But for about 2 months ago after playing Skyrim for many many hours and browsing the Nintendo Eshop without finding any more games to buy for it that I enjoyed, I decided to sell it because it had collected dust in my drawer for almost 2 years and I needed some money at that time as well.

It's good to hear that you have such a understanding partner that instead of getting upset and blame you, she will be supportive and help you. It's always good to sit down and explain the situation, so it won't be any confusions or other misunderstandings. It must had been a relief for you when you told her about the "pause" during the movies and that it was the urges that made you go to the bathroom and not your stomach, and she took it that well? Some other girls might have taken it much harder and in worst case left you because they didn't like that you got a boner and had to go jerk one out because you saw another girls tits on a movie.

That's completely understandable! There's lots of things I will just buy for a specific game to be honest. Although I usually expand on games after getting the console. For example, I got an Oculus Quest II just so I could play Resident Evil 4 VR (I don't regret it) and then I eventually got Beat Saber on it because I could mod the game. I have other games on it too now but those were the main reasons.

Yes she is very understandable. It genuinely surprised me because I thought she would be upset and disgusted in me and just not want to deal with it. I am forever grateful towards her and she means the world to me. I don't think I'd be able to do this without her continued support.

Yeah I don't own a PC or laptop. Was never a priority for me to be completely honest.

And I will definitely keep you updated! If you check my profile, I have a journal page where I try to post updates daily.

  10. Make sense! I have never been any fan of VR, because after awhile I get quite nausea. I think it has something to do with my sense of balance.

Resident Evil isn't my type of game, because I'm not a big fan of horror. But I have watched gameplay of both Biohazard and Village. They are very well made, to be honest, but to watch is one thing and to play is another, LOL!. I haven't watched any gameplay of Resident Evil 4 though, so might do that one day.

It's nice to have her by your side if she will be able to help you quit your addiction, and I hope you're right!

I have to ask you. What's your primary goal right now for NoFap? Is it to last a month without watching porn and masturbate, or like me to stay away from it during 90 days? Is it more important to make you quit porn then it is to quit masturbation, or are both as important?

I love the Resident Evil franchise! My favorites are 2 remake, every variation of 4, 7, and 8. Resident Evil 4 I think is my most owned game out of every game I have. In total (including the remake), I have at least 6 or 7 different versions. Also if you intend on watching RE4 one day, if you're looking for a more modern, horror based version, the remake is your go to. If youre looking for a more quippy, original Resident Evil style/humor, the original RE4 should be your go to! You can search RE4 HD Enhanced for the best viewing experience! I love both version so I can't tell you which is better. That depends on you.

Yes she is making this so much easier to do this rather than doing it alone. To he honest, I don't think I'd last a week without her. She keeps encouraging me, telling me not to give up! She's amazing.

My goal as of right now is to go 1 month without PM. When I complete that month, I want to keep going! Extending it to maybe 2 months. Then 3 months. And so on. But because I'm new, I want to dip my toes in the water a bit and go for at LEAST a month.

  12. Thanks for the recommendation, I'll take it into account!

Yeah, it's always nice to have one by your side that will look after you and encourage you to stay away from those bad habits!

I understand, it's always a good movie to take it slow in the beginning and work upwards. I believe that, if you manage to stay away from PM a whole month it will be a huge success for you I suppose? Have you been able to stay away from PM a whole month before?

This is quite a private question, but have you ever during your long addiction noticed any physical complications like, erectile dysfunction or delayed ejaculations for example? Why I bring this up is because I have noticed that some of the people in this community has noticed these complications after regular PMO for years. You don't need to answer this if you don't want to.

I've tried to go for a month before (I didn't know about NoFap at the time) but failed like 4 days in and just gave up. It'll be a huge success for me if I'm able to go a whole month!

And yes. I have. ED happens a lot when my partner and I might try to do something. Not 100% of the time but maybe more like 65%-70% of the time, it does. I've talk to a doctor about it before but they told me it might be related to depression (which isn't wrong but I personally don't think it was the cause).

Damn that's insane to me, but at least it's not something to worry about where relapses are concerned.

True. But I also use my phone and without a blocker app installed, it can be used for unfortunate events. But with one installed that a few people suggested, I should be good

  16. I hope you mange to a month with any relapse. During my 18 days of no MO I have had days that the urges has been very strong and it has been hard to resist to MO, but I have built up a strong "determination" to succeed to reach my goal. I will do everything and anything not relapse. A relapse for me would have been a huge disappointment, since I have mange to avoid it for this many days already. I still have 72 days to go to reach my goal of 90 days and I know that I will have to live through some more days with bad urges during those 72 days left.

Sorry to here that, man! It has to be frustrating when you would like to have some good time with your partner and you aren't able to perform.

I have never been in that situation because I have never been in a relationship, and I'm not interested to get in one either. I see more disadvantages than advantages to be in a relationship. I love the freedom to do what ever I want, when I want, and I also have problems to compromise. Sure it can get a bit lonely from time to time but I'll mange to keep me entertained on my own. I'm very close with my family and even though I live alone, I still see them quite regularly. I walk alone, I always have, I'm not ashamed. Getting my own family is a big "NO" for me as well.

Thank you. I hope so too. And you've got this too! I know you will be able to reach your goal! Even though it will be hard at times, we got to stick to it and remember why we want to in the first place!

Also yeah that fair. A relationship isn't for everyone. But still having people you're close to like your family will definitely make it much easier than if you had to do this completely alone. We definitely got this!

  20. Haha, I didn't mean that I talked to them about this NoFap journey, never in my life would I do that. This is private shit, man and it's to embarrassing. I will make it on my own and if I need to ventilate my thoughts, I'll comment on someone else post or make a new one in this community!

What I meant was, if I get lonely while being alone at my apartment, I can always go see some of my family members to get some company. While in a relationship, you usually live together with your partner, and to feel lonely will be close to none.
