Hi, I have been trying to learn some basic Mandarin on and off for a few years but life and porn kept getting in the way. I got as far as passing the lowest HSK level, HSK 1, but stalled thereafter. Now trying to beat porn, and so what do I need to join this group other than sending this message? Also I don’t want to bore people with repetitive study reports, e.g. ‘ I studied 30 mins today of X’, and so how often should I report at a minimum? Also I am specifically wanting to study Mandarin, as the generic term ‘Chinese’ captures a wide range of languages.

 

I did my Spanish reviews despite the lack of time.


You report when you want and if you want. No sweat. But I try to accountable with my language learning. I usually spend 20 - 40 minutes a day. Because that what I can afford to spend. I believe in consistency. Good luck with your goal, @4mins59secs
