New Fapstronaut, Reporting In, Gonna Need Some Help

New Fapstronaut
Good day all. My name is Liam, and this is my first ever post in the NoFap community. Just wanted to say "Hi", and share some of my story.

I am 31yo, straight, white, male, and I have been addicted to sex for almost 2 years. I don't say that lightly. I took multiple tests that verified the addiction, and I am seeing a therapist to help my recovery. I have had over 30 different partners in the last 12 months alone. Some were casual one night hook ups. Some were longer flings. Some were paid escorts. It was taking over my life, ruining me in more ways than one. It had to stop, so I quit cold turkey. Just. Like. That. As of this post, I'm exactly 3 months sober from my last instance of unhealthy sexual intercourse. April 8, 2018. FeelsGoodMan.

NoFap is an entirely different beast. I have never done anything so difficult. Before I was a full blown sex addict, PMO was a regular part of my day. Morning and night, it was a part of my routine, coded into my way of living. One day, PMO wasn't enough, I needed more. I joined a bunch of dating apps, went on lots of dates, had lots of sex. Then it got out of control. Over the next year, I had more sexual partners than I had in my entire life before that. The next year doubled, maybe tripled the first. It's hard to say for sure, but I knew I had to quit. So, I did. It was hard, but not impossible. Quitting PMO seems impossible. Before I officially joined NoFap I saw the website and did a little 14 day private challenge. It took me 27 days and 3-4 restarts to actually do it.

Today I officially join NoFap. I will start a 30 day challenge, and fail, and restart, and fail again, and restart a few more times, and fail a few more times. But one of these days will be day 30 on NoFap. Here's hoping. Wish me luck brothers and sisters.

Good luck brother. It IS possible. I’m living proof. Good on you for recognizing the need for change. Live not for this world but for the things above. Life is much better when you are pure
