Hello all, I wanted to bring up a curious occurrence I seem to frequently encounter.

Often, during reboot, I find myself having dreams in which I am looking at P. The dreams are filled with the same sensations one has when consuming P in real life, often align with accurate P tastes, and are followed by the shame and extreme regret of relapse after consuming. Then as I am waking up, I am filled with extreme relief that It was just a dream and not real life.

For me this a very curious situation in the context of PMO addiction and the brain. It happens consistently and often for me (when in the beginning weeks of a streak). Others have reported this and it gets me wondering about how wired our brains become to this visual substance. If it shows up in dreams so significantly while trying to quit PMO in real life, it must mean something significant regarding addiction pathways, etc. I see many naysayers claiming PMO addiction does not exist, but it just seems so obvious to me that its a real issue.

I wanted to open this discussion to others to see your thoughts.

sure, look: during the day the brain uses a lot of neuronal connections, to run, to study, to read, to wash, for sensations felt and also obviously to watch porn and masturbate. Now at night, when you go to sleep, the brain activates the same neuronal connections activated during the day. This means that if you have studied all the way, the brain takes the information, data and processes them by synthesizing them, making order. This happens exactly with porn. your brain revisits all the videos and sensations, connections activated with the muscles. During sleep we usually dream of many real situations, which we live every day. When we have the abstinence of something, it is very easy for the image or the sensations you no longer feel due to abstinence to resurface in our memory. During the rebooting, we are dreaming of sensations and lived images, which however are no longer there. This is also a signal. The brain is used to seeing so many porn videos constantly. With Nofap, the brain uses the dream to say "but ... why aren't these pictures anymore? I'm too used to seeing them, I have to reproduce them alone then" ... and here you often dream of sexual dreams.
