Day 11 complete. Yr 1 Gryffindor class.
the urges today were insane.

 

Failed in my 95th days of streak. Now i started again . Day 4 completed...

Day 12 complete. Yr 1 Gryffindor class.

I couldn't wait for this day to end. The urges have been intense.
but i am here. one minute, hour, day at a time.
sometimes it can get so tempting that I forget the reasons i am doing this at all.
then i remember that my magnificent (addicted) brain is just playing tricks on me and i have to be vigilant especially when I'm having a great day!

I just started this challenge. Can someone fill me in on the protocol exactly? Is it Day 1 for all new participants? Does this make me a muggle?

I was about to log in and do some searches that would lead to m, but instead I found this forum and since I'm reading Harry Potter, I'm thinking every time I get an urge, I can read some HP.

 

First of all, welcome!

You start on whatever day you're on. So if your current streak is 2 days, your HP Challenge is also 2 days!

All of the instructions are on the first page on a few posts made by @Don'tLookBack

You can put your name on the ranking list using the participation link on the first page (Google account required). If not, just shoot @Don'tLookBack a message whenever you progress a rank, so he can update it.

Day 4 checking in.

 

I notice that a fall begins with a few slips... looking at Instagram profiles of cute girls or boys online or whatever flavor of poison usually works for you... "harmless stuff" to start. Your mind will justify it, "it wasn't a full slip, i'm still good". Then you are at it the next day... it comes gradually and It follows your usual patterns.
Then comes the fall. And you reset. Then the relapse and the relapse loop. Until you come to your senses again or fall into that shit mood.
At least that's how it works for me.

Day 0 for me.. but I haven't understood one thing:
will you upgrade me automatically, or shall I have to do that using the "Google Doc" where I left my NoFap name?

Pretty easy to slip into Instagram Posts because that's not porn! But then the searching and the incognito mode and then... it's game over.

Reading through the Bible and 2 Samuel 11 talks about how David looked on his roof and found Bathsheba and committed adultery with her. With today's technology, it is so ridiculously easy to "commit adultery" by surfing through sites.

Thanks for setting up this challenge. I am actually reading Harry Potter right now. Staying of PM definitely helps to stay motivated to do more productive stuff like reading HP!
