  2. Day 0. Edged to some NSFW content so I'm calling it a reset.

    Otherwise, it was a good day, and I'm frankly surprised I let myself get to a point of relapsing. I woke up, read for a while, then spent the late morning and most of the afternoon hanging out with a good friend. Later I was very stressed about working to meet a certain deadline, and I think that may have contributed. I was aware of not being in a good mental state, but even though I checked in with my AP, the antsy nervous feelings continued. My subconscious was looking for any way to distract me and I ended up reaching for p-subs. Pretty stupid of me. Of course, after that it was even harder to concentrate, and I'm really not satisfied with the work I eventually put out.

    For the next eight days or so I'm going to be going on a vacation with my family. My PC is staying home, so NoFap access will be minimal, but chances to relapse should also be minimal. Miss you guys already but I'll be back.

    Chaser effect got to me. Updating my filters to be more strict and limitint my time on electric devices.

    Day 0 check-in - The Dark Fortress, Barad-dûr.

    But never ever will i give up on this!

    21 days.

    Stronger urges yesterday, and my mind had a tendency to ramble away to fantasise. I managed to recognise the fantasies after a while by observing my thoughts and breathing, and was able to let go of them.

    My mind was also starting to lose faith in this whole thing. It says my reasons for quitting P are not good/valid reasons, that it's natural to watch P and M to it, that this whole thing is silly, etc. I recognised that as well, and I chose to see it as a rather dull move from my brain which is trying to plays chess with my thoughts and emotions. A simple challenge to overcome.

    Then a wonderful thing happened. I went for an hour of walking in the evening and did some push-ups + sit-ups afterward. Suddenly, pretty much no urges or fantasies for the rest of the evening.

    And…. It’s getting harder.

    I’m doing stuff right. I went to bed on time and woke up to go for a meditation walk and a little exercise just like @Prophet Moonstruck suggested (that part was great, thank you). and I got back home and had some time to kill before going out to study. so I played a little PC game, but just when my alarm clock rang to tell me to go out to study, I’ve just got the worst craving. Even without porn I got close to M, and it took a real effort to stop, go have a quick cold shower and get out of the house.

    So I feel like I’m safe now, but shit that was not easy.

    Keep away from the triggers for the next 3-4 days and try to have less stress in those days to avoid binging.

    I think that roughness in socializing is due to cellular memories of the body - they still remember the self abuse we put ourselves through and it feel like a filth that can contaminate other people we come into contact with. If yoy have given yourself enough time to gradually recover, reenergise and clean yourself by getting firmly set in healthy self-respectful living the socializing is just bound to become smooth and blooming as other people will feel your regained respect and love for yourself !

    It's nice to see that you are helping so many of the forum members, I checked out your challenge its pretty great but only thing holding me back from joining is that I can't check-in daily as I have my competitive exams in a few months.

    Well, I'm mostly doing them to avoid urges so I haven't really cared that much about progress. However, thinking about it, I usually do 3 sets of push-ups. In the beginning of the streak, I could only do 15 reps in each of the 3 sets, now I do 30 reps in each of the 3 sets, so definitely an improvement! Smaller improvement for sit-ups, I don't push myself as much with them.

    My friend actually commented from nowhere the other day that I've began to look more fit, which I guess is due to the running and my bodyweight exercises. So I guess some progress is being made. :)

    That's really an excuse for not starting to change your life for the better as people are reluctant to to leave their comfort zone...like hobbits never leaving shire.
    C'mon,you always can find 10-15 minutes for daily accountability's check-in;)

    Sure it is and the energy you have for self-improvement is what previously was wasted in entertaining lust.
    As long as you stay on the path there is no limit to self-improvement, especially physical aspect of it !;)
