I've been at an inpatient addiction treatment center for porn nine months now. I haven't even had to opportunity to look at porn this whole time. I'm really stoked about not looking at porn for nine months, but I'm also scared. Am I really in recovery if I haven't even had to opportunity to look at porn? What will it be like when I am in the outside and have access to porn once again? Will I be able to resist, or will I slide back into my old habits?
Does anyone have advice for ensuring I remain in recovery? My current plans are to keep accountability software on my computer, continue attending 12-step meetings, and get a sponsor. Additionally, I won't have internet at my place - I'll go to public Wi-Fi spots to use the internet (this one is going to be tough).
