Hello, apparently there are apps from the MS Store that cannot be used because upon opening, the apps will have a "sign in with Google" prompt. The problem is that they open on Microsoft Edge which is blocked by Pluckeye. I don't use Edge and have set my default browser to Chrome already but the prompts still open in Edge. Do you know how to set apps to open prompts in Chrome instead? Thanks edge problem.png

Yes, the same settings from the guide. It says it blocks other browsers like Edge. I'm fine with that but the app's "sign in" prompt opens in Edge

Right click on the app or the app file and there should be an option saying open with, click on that and then chrome should be visible, if it is visible then click on chrome, choosing to open the app with chrome. If chrome is not visible then click on choose another app, and you should be able to find chrome from there.

So I have a work issued computer where I can’t configure the filters because of admin privileges. It has ESET adult filter and can block mostly porn sites, but I can sill access some. So this work computer have been a problem now for months.

Other employees are using BYOD but have SRW secure remote worker Dizzion to do work. I’m thinking of buying a new windows laptop to transition to SRW, because SRW doesn’t work on mac.

Now can the filter on the admin/standard account apply on the SRW account? or it’s just the same thing like the work computer?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Hey thanks for replying but the option is missing. I'm on Windows 11. The "open with" only shows on text files, etc. But not on apps No Open with option.png

    I am not sure
If you install plucky and CTB which needs admin rights, ita chrome extension and has a firewall. It should work with all accounts. and all networks ,since its a chrome extension and not a network filter

Any advise how to block in-app browsers? I had to uninstall 90% of my apps because all of them I could enter in sneaky way to built in browser. Not sure but Blocker X app might be able to do it but no idea how to set it up and if it's only premium option?

You can download the Pluckeye web browser. It's from the excellent Pluckeye webfilter team (well...person actually). It for one blocks all images and videos by default (can be costomized and locked), so no porn anymore. And secondly, it also blocks all in-app browsers as far as I am aware, at least in every app that I use.

You can use guardian angel app , it filters all the apps, including in app browsers.

Is there a way to password lock a USB flash drive altogether?

So I can only find an option to password lock files on the USB flash drive, but I can then just download other stuff onto the USB flash drive, which I still have access to.

I would prefer an option where I can literally password lock the entire USB flash drive altogether. So I can only get access to the USB flash drive with a password, and I can't download new stuff onto the USB flash drive without the password.

    Is this possible?

I think VeraCrypt can do that. What certainly works is to create a container file with VeraCrypt, that is as big as the entire USB drive so that you can't store anything else on the USB drive itself. Then store all your stuff in the container file.

But I think (although I have never done it myself), that VeraCrypt can encrypt and password-protect entire drives too.

Hi, I just installed Pluckeye. It indeed blocks all images and videos. However in app browser still works and it loads videos/images what sucks. Do I have to set it up?
Hi the300clean, thank you for suggestion. I can't use bulldog guardian angel because I've work profile for my job already and it can't be overriden with that app.
I even tested premium in Blocker X app. It has option to block in-app browsers but it doesn't work.
In normal circumstances I would just uninstall the app that bothers me but it's Tinder which I wanted to use after I recover... Seems like there's no other way to fill that missing brick in the wall than uninstalling though :/

Quite frankly, I don't know. Could be that you have to load a config. If you press the little pluckeye icon next to the address bar, it takes you to the pluckeye configuration settings. Just log in or make a free account and either create a config on your own or load a public premade one. Maybe that works.

Could also be, that you have to restart your phone one time in order to make the pluckeye changes take effect. Maybe try that first, before you mess around with configs as it would be easier.

I'm not sure if google chrome extensions fit here or not, but these 3 extensions were helpful for me:

1)Nudity Filter: Nudity Filter - Chrome Web Store (google.com)
A lesser-known very strict no-nonsense image censoring mechanism that scans all web images for colors that match skin tones and gray them all out. Will impact your browsing experience, but very powerful to prevent triggers or slip-ups for me. Although it won't censor videos.

    2) PorNo!: PorNo! Porn Blocker (Beta) - Chrome Web Store (google.com)
An pretty good in-development porn blocker that redirects to custom sites that inspire and empower the user when s/he visits a porn site (instead of a site blocked page). The developer seems to keep it functional with reddit's NSFW content, and its pretty powerful and catches websites that Blocksi doesn't catch for me

    3) And Blocksi! Blocksi Web Filter - Chrome Web Store (google.com)
I'm sure many people have heard of this one, its popular. Its a free filtering software that I think is on par with some paid ones. Pretty comprehensive porn blocking, almost no websites I found slip through except forum site like reddit (which PorNo! can probably catch).

Those are my favorite extensions. Thought I'd mention it in case it helps others :)

Thank you IR254 for quick reply but it actually went oposite haha. It loaded my pluckeye config I've on my PC and allowed images/videos haha. It doesn't matter though for me. All I need is to disable in-app browsers since I can disable pluckeye browser. I think I'll end up uninstalling that app anyway.

you can uninstall android webview with adb and then your problem would be solved , but it would crash many apps and be impossible to login in a few

any guide please? Does it require root? I don't know what's adb... I don't have many apps so I could give it a try if I can reinstall it back
