Another day . I started the day with exercise and a cold shower. I think ive done 3 days on this challenge but have taken cold showers for 24 days straight now. It's becoming easier as time goes on and is a practice I plan to stick with. A few years ago I broke both feet in an accident and afterward developed some varicose veins. Since doing the showers they seem to have all but disappeared. Apart from that it's a good way to start the day. Part of the reason I took up the challenge was too develop discipline and more mental toughness. Anyway ------Another day one day at a time.
Thanks for the reply. It's a good answer and I feel the same.
Missed a day before day 9(today). Glad to be back on it though!
missed a day bc of porn binging. SHIT. what a puppet I am, can't stand it.
I'm making all my challenges smaller for a better goal-getting and motivation. So instead of 30 days I will aim at 10 days here. Fresh start in the morning
Everything went well. I'm starting to notice that I'm not crazy uncomfortable at the beginning of the shower like I was on day 1. I'm turning it colder more often during my showers now.
I have also noticed something that I had never noticed before. I shave with a safety razor and I've noticed that the handle heats up after washing the head in hot water while shaving. Never noticed before since I was so warm. It only makes sense that it would heat up but still.
Day 10 was success. Tomorrow I'm back at it
I take cold showers every morning. I think i'm doing it 1 year consistently now. I never use warm water anymore. I do admit that i sometimes have mornings where it feels hard for me to turn the knob on. But it's a matter of switching your brain off and just doing it. Once the cold water hits your skin it's game on and BREATHE IN AND OUT. The rush feels amazing and i feel clean every time.
Day 4 went well. Made a larger jump into cold water right away then I've been doing.
Another day. I really didn't want to do it this morning but as soon as I got out of bed I did my exercises and took the shower. Something has been changing inside of me in a way that I like. Apparently I'm developing discipline and am starting to like myself enough to want what's good for me. Great challenge. One say at a time.
Day 10 and 11 have been the best yet. Now I'm aware of the rhythm needed to properly enjoy these showers, not to say I haven't been enjoying them. Excited for tomorrow, but today is still a vibe
Definitely cold but you get used to the temp quickly. The hard part is remembering to slow down my breathing.
day 30 no shower
Day 6 was........cold
