Day 2. Stay strong everyone, this covid-19 isolation is making this harder for us. let's overcome and be in a better position when this is all done.
Back to day one again. Wondering if you guys have any ideas of what to do when you feel yourself sliding back into the danger zone on your phone or computer?
Relapsed Again. Day 2 again. I don't know whats happening
The biggest problem is if you don't have a precise plan / target for what you want to do on your computer or mobile phone. Then you automatically slide into bad content at some point. Just looking in out of boredom is basically just a shift in addiction. Set yourself clear goals. When you turn on your PC, what do you want to do? And if you just want to spend time on e.g. YouTube then set yourself at least a time limit. Otherwise I can only recommend to spend as little time as possible on your mobile or PC and to use your time well. Or to use the PC for e.g. courses. Learn a new language or instrument. Improve your skills in what you can do. Train. Don't let boredom arise and don't fill up boredom with meaningless content. This satisfies the brain with dopamine as badly as any other addiction. At the end of the day, the urge to watch pornography can arise from dissatisfaction without having seen anything sexual.
At least that is my experience so far.
When it's almost too late - write something down in this forum or help others here. Use the emergency button. Take a cold shower. Go outside. Take a deep breath, whatever. Try some things out and stick to what works best for you.
