yes my conscious mind knows that not relapsing is so easy.
its just that some part of our minds always wants us to relapse, we just have to keep overpowering it.
    but yes,
it is up to me indeed.
    i will not relapse.
i am on a path that 99.9% people of the world are not, it is ought to be difficult.
thank you so much for the post bro!

I mean, i relapsed countless times by trying to toughen up during such moments lol. Glad you noticed it to stop it in time, because that could mean the end of your streak. I believe it has to do with we often believing that doing nofap/quitting porn is a passive thing, so we gotta fill our time with a bunch of crazy new activities that we're not used to, or some big habit changes.

But quitting porn is not passive at all -- it demands mental effort, learning to identify and deal with repressed emotions in a healthy way... so yeah, pretty damn hard by itself lol(sometimes even after 4 months as we can see in your case).

But yeah mate, don't worry about being super productive for a while. It definitely pays off later :)

    yess.
like, for example, today felt like a complete dopamine detox.
i studied (not much tho), meditated and slept.
nothing else. used gadgets and devices only when necessary..
but i think thats how it is supposed to be.

and what you say is true.. if you are too hard on yourself, you will most prolly end up relapsing.

hey people! hope y'all are doing good on your nofap!
    im doing good but,
since the past couple of days, ive been feeling a bit low. physically, i am fine. but mentally, i dunno man, something seems off.

maybe, as @willingness_to_change ge said, this is cuz i peeked and i need some more time to get back on time.

but any idea how do i get back on track quickly? i have a REALLY important exam coming up. i just got 31 days left. ideally, i must be studying 7-8 hrs a day.
but since a week or so, i have been averaging only 2-3 hrs daily.

it took me like 3-4 days to shake the rush of a peek off. maybe your brain is about to return to normal. also i focus really hard on my hobby and it almost resets my brain from urges

    @HaveAMiceDay i think the same.

There are studies that show that our brain can't absorb new information from more than about 4-5 hours of study per day, man. In my opinion you'd be only burning yourself out by trying to study 7-8 hours a day. Consider choosing quality over quantity, 2-5 hours of focused studying (with breaks inbetween) is definitely better for learning and avoding unnecessary stress, IMO.

Btw, i'm also feeling mentally low, just as you described... doing fine physically as well. In your case it must be the peeking, just give it a few more days.

Thanks bro, stay strong too... i'm here for you guys as well. If we keep ourselves accountable and helping each other it'll already be a huge step towards quitting for good.

    porn is everywhere.
i enabled the safesearch mode again because i dont want to take any chances.
but today i was checking a movie review on imdb beacause a friend recommended it. and the coverpic was pretty explicit.

the other day, a singer whose songs i was checking out, posted a pic supporting the free the nipple movement.

there are soo many other such examples.

the point being, even if we dont intentionally search for porn, we cant 100% avoid it.
we have to become mentally more stable, and stay on the right path.

exactly, especially since now a days you aren’t considered a decent artist unless you are attractive. so the most popular female artists all show the most skin. i cant BELIEVE sex STILL sells. dear god its 2021 how have we as a species not evolved past girls with big butts. smh

I KNOW RIGHT.. so fkin true..
can we please just appreciate the talent and not the looks??
its a little understandable for actors, but even singers have similar google pics to that of a model.

It's a good idea to enable safesearch for a while after peeking for sure. But yeah, in this day and age we'll all inevitably find erotic material, unless we go live in a cave... but as long as we're not intentionally looking for it (save here and there during reboot, because we're all human), it's all good man.
That's just how it is and will always be, bro... it's human nature.

Day 17, guys! I truly feel like that i'm willing to quit this time and also excited for the future for the first time since a veeery long time... i remember this feeling from several years ago, from one my very first streaks. After you get stuck in a relapse cycle for such a long time you kinda lose that excitement for the future, that wonder of what is gonna happen next? How will i change and improve if i keep at this? Because since you have already relapsed so many times, it's much more justifiable doing it once more.

Hope to see you guys succeeding with me!
