Become the best version of myself

    I am starting this thread to become the better version of myself.

    Right now, I have having difficties with Tv show , mobile and porn addiction.
    I have used a blocker to counter that.

    I want to improve myself daily in a regular basis. I will start my journey from tomorrow.
    First step is to improve my schedule

    Today, I start my journey towards self improvement.

    I slept at 5 am. But I got up at 8:30. My first challenge is to improve my sleep cycle.

    • Read a lot on Quora
    • I need to be updated about daily news
    • Read news on Live law and Indian Express
    • I need to be updated all the present happenings
    • Watch videos on History

    I do it but not regularly. Because of the addictions I had stopped doing all three all together.

    Yesterday, I resumed again with Gym and yoga.

    I need to start concentrating on my diet as well.

    High fibre protein rich diet

    That's really important. Generally , I have a tendency to set too many goals.

    But I have always learnt it is better to keep you aim high. So that you keep on striving to do more in a day. Otherwise, feeling of complacency set in. On the other hand, there is disappointment for not achieving your goals of the day when I have too much goals.

    But I would try to maintain a balance. And that is where I feel updating my journal everyday will go a long way. Also, I would need the support of this community to keep me motivated.

    I already feel the supportmsupport coming in from my fellow members.

    That's what I was trying to say without sound offending haha.Yes we feel dissapointed in ourselves when we didn't the goals and lead to relapse Anyways good luck I keep an eye on this thread

    I am finding it really tough to fix my sleep cycle. I slept at 10 pm but now I am awake. It's 12 am in my country.

    I don't seem to able to fix it. This is making me very stressful. I was in a habit of sleeping around 4-5 am last 15 days. I got up at 8-9 am last 2 days. But still I am not able to sleep before 4. I feel sleepy before that but then it's only for a nap. I automatically get up in 1-2 hrs.

    After so many days of addiction to my phone ( Tv shows, Movies , YouTube and Porn) I had stopped living my life. I had become a couch potato. It made me very lazy and unhappy.

    But now I am getting myself back on track. This makes me realise often what I am passionate about. These are 2 things

    • Becoming an intellectual giant
    • Maintaining good health
    Becoming an intellectual giant
    1. Resumed my Economics course on Khan Academy
    2. Started with Indian History course
    This is a long battle. I need to be dedicated to my goal. But somehow I end up losing sight of it after some days and go back to phone addiction.

    So, this time I would have to something new which keeps me focussed on my goal.

    In the first one month I would concentrate on completing History and Economics courses. This would be the first step.

    Health

    • Yoga
    • Gym
    Right now I am ill. So, I am not able to do gym. But I will do meditation if I get somewhat better.

    From tomorrow, I start my ten day journey to Nofap. I have told my girlfriend I won't do sexting with her. I won't meet her as well.

    Day 1 - 23rd August

    I was awake since 12 am. It was really tough not to sleep after 9 but I had to change my schedule. At last, I was able to manage not sleep. I took 2 short naps. Around 9 PM I slept but got up at 11:30 pm. Then I turned on sleep music and went into light sleep till 3:30.

    Now, myvaim for today is to be awake till 8 pm. I want to have good deep leep today.

    I was able to do all of them.

    4-5 am - Yoga
    5-6 am - Read news
    6-7 - Gym
    7-8- Bath and Breakfast
    7-8:30 - Prayer

    Todos

    • Oil my Hair
    • Get Medicines
    • Add fruits to diet
    • Drink 2 glasses of water first thing in the morning
    • Keegle exercises
    • Book service of MG
    • B12 injection
    • Buy bicycle

  19. Maybe try to do 24h without sleeping to fix your schedule :) Usually works for me.

    That's the most difficult thing to do in Lockdown when you don't have anything to do except lying in bed and binge-watching
