Trigger warning: This post may be triggering for some, so I advise caution when reading this.

Hello All. Last night I was laying in bed and I heard some noises coming from the other room. It sounded like S** noises and I was hearing it and I became more alert. Although the possibility it was sexual noises was very low, I heard them and kind of reacted to them in a slightly bad way. Basically I froze and continued to listen to them. Although I didn't lust or MO or P, I did listen but I didn't really do anything with it. It was like I was a kid who heard those noises for the first time. It was more curiosity than lust. I just froze or else I would've put on earphones or something.

What do you guys think, is this a relapse? I'm doing it monk mode so I'm really divided on this.

What do you mean by "doing it monk mode"? However hard you try the is occasionally gonna be sexual stimuli that you will unwillingly consume. The whole point is training yourself to respond to it in a way that you dictate.

Thank you for your answer. By monk mode I meant trying my best to abstain from all triggers. I've done it pretty well this far, it's helped me avoid relapse in paws. I also believe it's impossible to abstain completely. I think these slip ups do affect recovery as they can be catalysts for future relapses. What do you think?

I don't think it's possible to abstain from triggers. Being triggered isn't the problem, it's how you respond to them.

If you think it's a relapse it is, if you think it isn't it isn't.
