How do I prevent relapsing because of morning wood? Throughout the day the urges are a lot less since I can distract my mind. But a good streak gets lost to morning wood and I end up with no energy the whole day. What can I do to fix this?
Morning wood is a sign of health and vitality. Give thanks that you have it, then go straight into a routine - exercise/out walking/cold shower, whatever that may be. How we start the day influences the rest of the day.
It is worth knowing that a factor in morning wood is the proximity of the bladder and the prostate. As the bladder fills during the night it squeezes a bit on the prostate causing an erection. So, as soon as you wake go and pee. 9 times out of 10 your erection will go away all on it's own.
Don't sleep naked, and if you use boxers or smth like that you might wanna try wearing sweatpants or a proper pajama. Also ideally try keeping your phone in another room so you're not tempted to use it bed just after waking up.
Go pee immediately. The relief helps to get an "unbone". It always works to me. But you need to be proactive. Try not to lose time on bed. Actually, everytime I get a bone that does not go away, I pee even if I don't need to.
Yes, but it needs to be a habit. It means you need to train your body to raise up ever since you wake up. No time to think, just do it. But of course, what do you do when you wake up? You need to know exactly what you are going to do when you get out of bed. So it means you need a schedule. This PMO addiction is serious, brother. You need to build a routine propositally offensive against it. I hope you the best. God bless you.
You have to train yourself to get out of bed immediately. Fall out and do some push-ups or take a cold shower.
I have independently found @psps07 's strategy to be helpful. However, @Icewarrior seems to not have an issue with it, which goes to show different things work for different bodies. Give everything a try, but the most beneficial would be to get in the habit of getting out of bed and starting the day as soon as you're conscious.
