Multi Orgasmic and Semen Retention

So, I decided I'll try this "Multi Orgasmic" technique, which basically grants one the power to seperate the orgasm from the ejaculation.
Now I wanted to ask if anyone knows if doing so will kill my Semen Retention benefits, and why.
