I'm not gonna lie about this anymore. I have a mental illness but I'm currently stable. So basically I've been keeping up with religion for a long time and have been spiritual and pious. So the "sexualizing" I was talking about was actually me praying to God that I have sexual intercourse with a girl from heaven. I know it sounds funny but it's what led to my multiple relapses in paws. It basically ends with a mo relapse. I wasn't able to control that when I was sick (my illness is schizophrenia) but now I've been able to stay away from moing. I recently prayed for the girl to come (see previous post - mentioned it as sexualizing) and I got an erection. It's strange I know I shouldn't be doing these things but as of recent I've been able to get aroused without pushing any libido or sexualizing. It's strange what if it's true that I can do that. Would love your input on this.

  2. I'm not studying anymore, maybe in the future following a PhD. - It's time to work on myself - I'm struggling with my current job - but it's okay, I feel foggy most of the time which is really bad.

I had 2 wet dreams in the morning today and then was extremely horny all day and ended up relapsing, this is the second time it happened as im reaching the 3 week mark.

I don't know how I can avoid this for next time

Why DM you to know more about recovery? Any reason you can't share here?

  5. Does everybody feels foggy ?

I feel like I'm the only one - I can't think and I tend to feel like there is something inside of my brain, sozmthing very heavy not to mention that I forget a lot!

Am I Alone ? Or does it happen to all of you guys ?

I miss that Sharp Brain when you feel motivated to move rocks!

Yeah man, it's like that for me every day. I have very small pockets of clarity, then I'm back in the fog for what seems like an eternity. I also think our brains are extremely sensitive to any kind of high stimulation right now. I've had many instances where I search for a song to listen to, or look up the current events online, and I feel my brain releasing dopamine. Then right after it puts me right back into the fog/deeper paws. It's really annoying. It's just our brains healing. They're extremely sensitive right now.

You're good. Happens to me all the time. You can't perceive clearly because of paws. I have many instances where my brain questions if I relapsed or not; it's just a tool it uses to get you back to the addiction. It's the confusion and fogginess that's hitting you. Don't worry- no long term damage. Avoid the big fall of a relapse at all cost. And maintain a disciplined lifestyle to accompany that goal.

You must embrace wet dreams in order for long-term success. Part of the journey and can be attributed as a paws symptom. I've had a couple of instances where I've had two wet dreams in one night. It happens. Also make sure you are ready to fight the chasers that come with them next time.

  14. Just my words! I've been scrolling through a topic on YouTube and suddenly I've felt my brain getting overloaded! Too much stimulation - left and right!

I think it will be better to stay off all the internet for a year or so until healing up! Our brain is overstimulated everyday - and that thing won't make it heal anytime sooner!

    Guys we need confirmation!

  15. We need to create a Daily Schedule to Follow - Especially for us Rebooters!

We can't heal if we kept our old habits!

Exactly. It's as if our brains are like broken legs in casts. Every time you poke the cast (high stimulation), the leg gets hurt. Not broken (relapse) but just disturbed. I'm deciding since I'm hitting my 200 days tomorrow, that I'm going to try no music, no videos on YouTube except education, and no world news articles online for two weeks as a trial period. I work on a computer, so I can't avoid being online. But I think we're both onto the next stage of recovery and should be game planning a dopamine management schedule.

  17. I agree completely with your theory and I might be able to add to it. I am wondering if these two types of rebooters you spoke of are the ones that deal with the emotional baggage during recovery versus those that just stop PMO. In the 12 step community I keep hearing that we will always be addicts and if we don't deal with the why we will just change addictions. "White Knuckling" is not recommended and we work through the steps to heal. So some of us are healing that resentment, anxiety, depression while healing our nervous system, that would eliminate the 850ml as an ideal of pent up energy we are carrying around. Realistically we cant get rid of all of it but bringing that number down at all could make a difference to someone with PAWS months to years after a reboot.

  18. Look for me it was from May of 22 to April 23. I had taken months off work here and there because of that and other symptoms. I don’t think our time lines are all the same but I would just recommend to try to live your life as normal as you can. When I laid around at home it just made me feel worse.

Its not so much that I don't want to share what I think is the right way to recover, its just complex and a bit confusing to explain in a message, and pretty straightforward to explain on a call with visual aids.

I did post about what I think PAWS is and how to recover in here and on another thread, but I don't think it was explained or understood. Likely because it was too complex to understand in a single post. I am in the process of pulling together a document that just outlines everything (I think) I know about recovery from PAWS. Alternatively, happy to attempt to explain again in this thread in the meantime if that is what everyone wants.

Yes this is essentially it. PAWS is an emotional issue whether we believe it or not.

The good news is that there are a range of exercises to do this, meaning that everybody can recover with a routine. The even better news is that if done correctly we can recover very gradually while seeing results. It may be easier for some of us and harder for others however it does take consistency, patience and awareness.

A side note is that PAWS and the flatline are two separate modes of recovery. We experience the flatline, then there is PAWS which is where we experience dullness, and numbness (anhedonia). Its almost like a frozen flatline. The two feel almost the same but I honestly think they are very different modes. I think the aim should be for us to move out of PAWS and back into the flatline, and then from the flatline back to our normal selves.

I know, I know this all sounds odd and goes against the standard mode of recovery. At this moment in time I have nothing scientific to back this up, however please bare with me and I will provide all the information I can for you to judge for yourselves. I will say that since understanding these details has helped me to make slight jumps in my own recovery.
