    Team I've let myself and The Fighting Mongooses down by having a PMO Relapse :(
    I've joined up to the three day challenge to get some space between me and it.
    I am going to begin reading the SPAM REMOVED (spam code #001) - REPORT TO MODERATION Method again.
    If I'm honest I've been fighting this relapse for the last week or so, and finally knocked me down.
    I have personal stuff going on in work and life (Like the loss of a job and a change of circumstances), but I am not going to sit and make excuses - it was my choice!
    Tomorrow will be a better day, for certain.

  5. Just stopping by briefly.
    Staying strong. Just came about as close as I have to P this year. Was looking up a few people on internet to see who they were, what their work was about, etc (yes, legitimate research).
    Soon was on images, with the safe search turned off. Realized how fast that could go down hill.
    Sailed right on out of there.

    Happy day 4 all. Let's get on through it.

  6. Is that book really about quitting smoking? Seems there's some weird e-book that gets floated around here but is like taboo and not to be spoken of.

    There is an ebook copy with the smoking references changed to PMO, i guess made by someone here. Sounds like a silly gimmick, but it actually works really well. I read it years ago, its one of the better quit PMO texts out there (the original is the most famous and successfil quit smoking guide).

    Day 5. Bad news here in the UK - we are in full lockdown again until mid Feb (at least). And this time we cant even go out and enjoy the summer sun. Its going to be a stressful and frustrating time.

    Yeah exactly that - [SPAM REMOVED (spam code #001) - REPORT TO MODERATION] - but every time I write the name E A S Y P E A S Y M E T H O D, NoFap changes it to "Stop Smoking"... Which is wierd, because the book is about Fap. It's not just that the word "Smoking" has been changed to "PMO", there are whole new sections in there - the book does actually contain a lot of psychology.

    That said, it is your thread and I respect the rules - so (outside my signature line), I will not speak of it in this thread!

  11. Hey brother, I definitely wasn't going there.

    I actually found a journal a couple months back and that "SPAM REMOVED (spam code #001) - REPORT TO MODERATION" rings a bell. It's all coming back to me now. As I recall, every time the guy typed the title, the"NoFap" site seemed to edit it to something like cannot be displayed, or some censorship thing. I followed the thread for a couple days, then moved on. I actually think I managed to get a link to the .pdf file you're speaking of, and I think it's on my tablet at home saved in the docs. It's all coming back to me. I have a small "digital" library of stuff I should be working on t beat this addiction. Truth is, I'm just "hoping" it goes away if I am to be honest. I can do better.



    This isn't my thread man...this is OUR space. Whatever you have to share and contribute, is fair game. I'm nobody special, just very very humbled that others are willing to stick with me and try, despite my flaws.
     
  12. Good afternoon Voyagers:

    My sunday afternoon and night went badly. The Mrs. nude in the bathroom overwhelmed me with desires to confront her physically. I got rejected, and couldn't sleep. I MO'd, but at least I did it without the glow of that LED screen filled with soul ripping pornography. Still porn free this year.

    Day 5 of our trip is getting on, and there is quite a bit stirring up in the world, I hope that we can all find time to meditate and separate ourselves from the worries and anxieties of it all.

    I added the Name, not sure if I got the right color o_O

    Perspective time... we can say "how did/why did that happen ad address the issues and move on, or we can dwell in the sorows of it all. I saw you hopped onto the 3 days challenge, so I trust by Fridady you'll be checking out of rehab with a fresh new outlook on life.

    No worries, welcome to the journey. Do as you will with your tracker. The idea is as many days living in the green as possible, whatever that looks like to you is what it is.

    I am very happy to be starting Day 11 now- wow, double digits is a big thing for me.
    I have been at this for decades with basically no progress. At the end of October, inspired by @BrohkenCompass sig, I spent the month of November with the Red/Green chart. I had 7 red days.

    Something happened though in December- I went from wanting to moderate the red days, to being more inspired to really live porn free.
    I had a 13 day streak in December, my 2nd longest of 2020. I did over all end up with 5 red days in December, and 49 green days over 61 days.

    So, why am I telling you my experience with progress over perfection? I realize this is just my experience, but I began with one reason, to remove the shame of a PMO and to look at the overall picture. This is how my November went and although my success rate was only 75%, which honestly was a normal month for me, it gave me motivation to change.

    Now, here we are in January. I had a small string of days coming into 2021, but more importantly, a belief that we can actually live porn free- not 75% of the time, but everyday.

    Progress is the game. My overall goal is 90%, simply because anything less and I am not really progressing. I believe progress really is just data- relapses are just data. We need to use that data for our good. To me, this is progress.

    Wow, sorry for that long winded post as I do not usually write that much, but just felt led to write this up.

    I do not play golf, but shooting for that hole in one!

    @BrohkenCompass i was reading the January challenge description and i have to say that I relapsed one time before i joined the challenge on day 3, but since it started counting on the 1st of January, add +1 to my count.

    7 Days complete clean.
    103/106 days, carrying over from the previous challenge.

    I know this thread is this year oriented, but I'm noting the progress made from last year into this one.
    Or at least, from the last 3 months.
    Have no interest in throwing it away. Encourage you to recognize your own carry-over progress too.
    A lot of us made progress last year/ last few months.

    Anyway, keep going friends.

    I began doing this the last 2 months of last year. I would be curious how you feel about the overall with a fairly fresh reset- do you feel like progress or does the reset tend to take over the primary feeling?

    I know I have felt it both ways. I was green 49/61 days and I liked the progress, but those resets are not fun.

    Looking forward to a break out year.

    Go Team Mongoose! I have screwed up again yesterday (Well technically this morning as it was after midnight). This morning I started the day listening to a "Consider before Consuming" Podcast from FTND and also re-watched "Brain" from "Brain Heart World",also from FTND.

    Realise that it is my Pre-Frontal Cortex that has taken a battering these last 2 days, and that's why my willpower has been wittled down. My brain just feels utterly foggy....

    Today I will not use Porn because: I will give time for my Prefrontal Cortex to Grow and gain strength by repeated application of the concept of WILL POWER!
