    Day 327

Can't believe it's almost been a year since I watched any porn (like) content online. I feel so much better than I have felt the last 10-15 years. But I must admit, I think I need another year to fully recover.

I did notice something though: I let myself fantasize about having sex with an escort while MO-ing and I felt a higher rush during and a lower low after. Not even close as to the effects of a relapse but a lot more than "regular MO-ing".
I also noticed the next day that my inclination to relapse grew a bit. I've read about it that if you imagine something, your brain also wires to it. Like playing the guitar in your mind also makes you better at playing guitar! Now I've got confirmation that this also accounts to bad things your brain was wired to.

    So my advice would be:
Don't allow your mind to dive into fantasizing about porn, this will only lead to more frustrations and a higher probability that you'll relapse. The goal is not only to abstain from watching porn, but to rewire your brain to a healthy dopamine system with a normal stimulus. Fantasizing about what you are trying to get rid of will only delay your recovery.

Dang, I actually deliberately fantasize about girls I know in real life without touching, as a replacement for P. So it's delaying my recovery?

From my experience: No, that is not a problem and I think healthy because you wire yourself to real / normal people. For me porn is not really the problem but (searching online for) escorts is. And when I would fantasize and MO on it, it has a negative effect on my afterwards than without.

So it depends what your online bad porn behaviour is.

Totaly agree, thanks for reminding us.
It has happened to me in the last couple relapses that I permited myself to imagine. In a sense anything could become a trigger and the only safe net is always keep busy with work or serving others.
