What App’s do you use to help?

Discussion in 'Self Improvement' started by Deleted Account, Jul 21, 2018.

  1. Hey everyone, I wanted to know: what app’s do you use to help in the process? It doesn’t have to be only porn related, but anything that helps you.
    I already use:
Fortify (it’s a great tool to overcome the addiction)
MyFitnessPal (it helps me get a healthy diet. healthier body = healthier mind)
    Headspace (mindfulness)
(I’ve tried porn-blockers but they didn’t worked for me, I always find a way to watch porn or PSUB and this kind of app didn’t changed anything for me.)

  2. AMdroid is a useful alarm app (maths challenge, flashing light, vibration, sound and post alarm awake confirmation).

I don't personally use any apps at the moment, other than the Nofap emergency button located where my internet app used to be and my internet app in some completely random place on my phone. I was surprised how much a simple rearranging of the apps helped. I think I will check out the apps that you use. Couldn't hurt, right?

I found using K9 web blocker very effective and i made it foolproof for my laptop with some settings. I can send the entire process to you if interested.
Also if you use iphone, you can use the restrictions setting to block porn but you let someone else set the password on the pretense that you want to prevent someone from seeing some important info on your phone.

I've deleted most of the social media apps off my smartphone.
Currently I'm using these apps and I found them pretty much productive

Incoquito to prevent me from opening incognito tabs.

Stay Focused to block certain apps (internet browsers, YouTube) for certain times of day, which for me is from late night to early morning. That's when I'm pretty vulnerable.

  8. Could you send it to me?

I tried a lot of different apps to quit porn actually. I was not using any of them until now for a long time. But I found that my brain consciously decide masturbate to porn quickly and I had some relapses. Porn addiction is basically a brain reaction of a certain stimuli. Because of this, I decided to change the colors of my devices screens. I set black-white and negative colors. I don't know if it works but I will try.
