I found a new mindset to overcome my PMO addiction dude. It is surprisingly interesting. It is all about focus. Focus on building the new you not on fighting the old. Don't focus on ''I will never PMO/relapse again'' If you keep that mindset you will eventually relapse. Here is a video that goes into more detail!
Love it! Going to try and implement this. I've always found that while yes, the negatives are a good push sometimes, focusing on the positive is always the better way to go for sustainability. Great quote in your signature too.
Absolutely. To sum it up in this quote: ''The Secret of Change Is to Focus All of Your Energy, Not on Fighting the Old, But on Building the New'' and also ''We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.'' - Albert Einstein
I don't drink anymore and I don't smoke weed anymore. I had been telling my friends that "my blood runs clean" - and you know what? That helps me keep focused and on the right track. This video put it all in perspective.... so heck yeah! I can try this on my day 9. I have told my therapist and my wife that quitting the other issues was NOTHING compared to quitting PMO. I'm 57 y/o and this video helps. Thanks.
No problem bro, yes quitting PMO is crazy as hell. It has been 10 years I have been struggling with this. I honestly have done so many different drugs: Marijuana, LSD, Shrooms, Cocaine, Heroin, Meth, MDMA/Exstacy/Molly, GHB, Salvia, Cigarettes and Alcohol too. and I have done those multiple times. Yet I have never had urge or craving to keep doing them. I literally have never got addicted on any of those. Yet I am still struggling with PMO addiction and still as of now addicted and not cured. Just shows how addictive PMO is. Free, widely available, unlimited supply, any time you can do it, pretty much anywhere on your phone. This is what makes PMO addiction one of the worst addictions in modern times.
way to go. I would like to add just one more, Whenever you catch yourself with the urge, fear or anything you don't like running in your mind, empower/allow yourself to "drop that non-sense!", as if it is ordered divinely from your higher self/your god whatever. Your mind will freeze a little, some call it meditation, but that energy would have already transmuted.
I know the guy in the video, already watched loads of his videos. Yes, you are right, we need to focus on building a better future and that will help us to relapse less and less and be happier. To be sober and be bored and alone brings nothing then extreme urges and pain.
Very interesting video. A great book Im sure the guy at the book read its The Power of Habit. It helps understands habits and how to change it. Thanks for sharing!
